1200w 5x5 Hydro Vert Tent!!

I understand what you mean. My scope should be in the mail today. Well thats what the tracker said. I hope it is though. Because I am beyond ready to get a view of the trics.

Well my scope came in and the trichomes on the ladies are looking really good. On 3 of the girls I see a good number of amber depending on the plant. Ranging from 20-40%. 2 other plants are a mix of clear and cloudy. Like 20% clear and 80% cloudy. How many days should I give all the plants in general? They all will have to come down at the same time because the flower room is the drying room as well. On my next set up I will have 2 tents so I can operate a bit better. How much do the trichomes mature once the plant is drying and curing? Because if I chop before 09/15/2011 I will have more time to cure. The 11th or 12th would be better for me or maybe before.

The trichomes aren't gonna turn much, if any more mature once they get pulled. I personally like cutting down the girls at a couple diff varieties of maturity so that I can try how the strain effects me at different ratios.

ive read a few threads regarding flushing and some believe that a low ppm of nutes is sufficient for flushing residual salts out of the plant. im not sure how best to explain why a low ppm flushes the plant but ill try and find the thread for you.

i grow in coco and i flush with tap h20 + Florakleen between 7-14 days b/c i have many different strains in a prepetual rotation with harvest times from 60 days - 78 days. not sure the ppm of my tap as i dont own a ppm/ec meter.

imo hydro needs less time to flush than does coco or soil. nute and ph issues manifest itself quicker in hydro, thats why you will see opinions that soil is more forgiving.

since that post was voted not helpful i hope its pointed out where i am wrong and what the bad advice is.

I would like to know why one would negative rep you at all. You have done nothing but helped me and others. Flushing is a personal preference. So why negative rep a persons opinion. I feel that if somebody negative rep a person they should give a strong reason and state their position on the topic. I have read that a lower ppm flush causes the plant to use up the nutes at a slower rate and not shock them into hurrying up and using all the nutes real fast which can make them burn. Now this is only what I read. I will try to find the link. SSH I thank you for all your input and it will be always welcomed.

Well as promised here are the ladies. They will come to there final days between Friday and Sunday. Chop Chop!! Some still have a good deal of white pistils but oh well. I harvest on swell and trichomes. I am seeing on one plant that the trichomes are amber but a good bit of them are still clear. I mixed them up during seedling stage but upon research I pretty much identified which plants are which.
This is the Blue Widow. This is the plants with the best fruity smell. Its so hard to describe it. The trics on this plant is around 25% amber and The rest are Cloudy/clear.

This is the Bagseed. The plant has a bunch of pistils which gives it a fuzzy look. Much more than the breeder strains. The trichomes on this lady are 5% amber and pretty much all cloudy.

This is the Critical +. It seems like it was always on the droopy side. It may have needed more Cal Mag. Did not swell how I wanted to. Must of been a more sativa pheno. The trichomes on this one are all Cloudy for the most part.

This is the AK-48. This plant is living up to the hype so far and much more. Its a must for a new grower I feel. The trichomes are 30-40% amber and the rest are cloudy and clear.

The last plant is the Northern Lights x Big Bud. These buds are freaking huge. The trichomes on this plan are about 20-30% amber and the rest are cloudy.

Good for you! I'd love to know the yeild differences between the plants in the 10" netpots compared to the ones in the 3" netpots. I have a really nice blue widow cut that is my fav right now. that bagseed looks great too.

Harvest Done!

Well it took me 8 freaking hours of trimming but its finally done. They are hanging in the tent in the dark. I have a small fan blowing against the wall along with the exhaust fan set on l0w or medium. I feel its good air flow in the room. The bud sites on some of the plants are VERY dense. I don't want them to mold at all! The room climate is 77f and 54rh +/- 3%. Not really sure how accurate the Hygrometer is. Well on to the PORN!

Looks great! Enjoy that scissor hash and make sure to get a good dry yield posted up :joint:

I will be sure to post some dry yield numbers. This is the tough part. The dry and cure. I hope they will be ready for jars in 3-4 days. I have not tried the hash yet but I will in a bit. I was so tired from all that trimming. I just checked the night time climate and the RH is 53% and the temp is 73f. Any guess of how long it may take to be ready to jar? This is my first harvest so im a bit lost on it. I have read all the articles on curing but Im trying to avoid MOLD. Just trying to get down the snap but in half part. That is my main concern.

AK48 looks like a chunky lady :D Nice pull, I think your gonna do a lil over a pound there. I've grown nlxbb before it's a nice lil plant and very consistent. I must have grown it 5 years back and it looked just like yours!

looks great man, probably going to take more like 5 to 7 days before its dry enough for a jar. Then you will probably want to jar them for a day then take them out for a day. Do that for a few days. Then after that make sure you open your jars for 20 minutes twice a day. Don't jar them when there still a little wet that will cause mold. Cool thread!
