just wanted to let everyone know that i am currently dismantling my entire grow because cable guy came and said high frequencies from my house have caused over 300 peoples wireless internet in my area to go out......now i am very suspicious because my internet has been working fine and the one time i didnt pay my bill they show up and disconenct it then when they go back to connect it they gave us the storu about how my house has high frequencies coming from it......hell fucking yeah it does i have 2 lumatek dual 600s running four bulbs and two other ballasts for a total of 3600w.... im not going to say anymore for security reasons but i am very sore and tired from ripping down everything......im still confused about what to do with my babies that were due to be done in four weeks...................alll i gotta say is if i get popped, my cable company, and lumatek better duck. if i get holed up in a celll over this shit i will be back for revenge......................... fucking bullshit......it should be illegal for cable companies to point a device at your house and gauge the amount of power being used.....thats a violation of privacy in my opinion.....this is not a joke you alll........... i have so much to lose and this couldnt have happened at a worse time

dude i have had this same setup for going on two years now and all of the sudden this is happening to me? it MIGHT NOT be the lumateks, but if it has happened to others, im assuming that is what it could be.......OR IT COULD BE the bundles of electrical cords like the people in the article above...... fuck me man FUCK

Yeah, I can see why you're tearing down... BUT why not just grab a coupla cheap magnetic ballasts if you're convinced it's the digi's?

Like i said, i get you on the teardown mentality, but... Maybe I'd have taken an extra step before teardown?

I had this problem with galaxy digital ballast back in 07. then switched them to coils. I recently got some digi's with no problem. However today a friend of mine told me the cable company comcast said that high frequencies were coming from his house. He has quantums only 4. however comcast told him that it shut down 300 houses in the area. Damn now im hearing this crap again about these cable shutdown signals.. Thought the companies fixed the problem..

can a cable co really go to police and tellthem bout so/so house having high frequencies? i mean FUCK there have to be other things in a house other then grow equipment? these cable worker dorks carry around these RF meters for a reason and i highly doubt they carry them around for the sole purpose of sniffing out growers.......... but of course i coule be wrong....imm trying to think of as much positive shit as possible to block the images of hard times and lockup out of my fucking head......i did a partial teardown.....its pretty complex situation to explain what i did for now....ill explain after the cable guy comes and goes tomorrow........hopefully he doesnt show up with poe leece....

dude ive watched wayyyyyyyy too many prison shows on tv and i swear it has caused me to be aabout50 % moree paranoid then what i already was and im a natrually paranoid person..... always have been.....even as a child to a teen to a pot smoker to an adult i can honestly admit that i always assume the worst possible shit

re: the topic of this thread, .......just thought of soething...........isnt the internet mostly wired up on the telephone poles or what not outside? if it is wired, could rf REALLY affect a shielded coaxil cable line? i can understand it knocking out some wireless waves, but really the lines? ?

Installing your own cable splitter can also cause a frequency leak. Go with magnetic ballast like some of these guys said.

if the wires are shielded in your home you shouldn't even be getting that kind of interference.....perhaps shielding your grow area by lining the walls with foil under mylar or whatever....tell the cable people to mind their own business
