List of Best Strains from SB Breeders

Hey all,
I wanted to get a list of what you think are the best strains - past, present, future - of the breeders.

I'll compile the list and summarize for everyone so it's all in one post.

I don't have a good perspective on what's out there, so I'm looking to you growers that have done all the work and have all the experience.

For my part, from reading Rez's forum, it looks like Chemdog IBL, SD IBL, and CDxSD are the hot strains there.

What do you think?

Hi all .. thanks for chiming in.
Let me just take a step back and explain what I'm trying to do here..

I'm pretty new to growing and don't have a perspective on what is good out there. I went to Amsterdam a couple of times about 15 years ago and sampled what I could for the week I was there - Super Skunk, Northern Lights, White Widow, Purple Haze - and they were all delicious and I got a great high from each. I don't think you go wrong with any of those strains.

But things are different now. There are hundreds of strains and crosses and any choice I could possibly make would be a shot in the dark. I've read the posts and tried to choose from the 'hottest' strains from the most active forums.

I also realized that there are a bunch of other breeders here that have awesome strains and crosses that I will never find out about unless I asked.

So what I'm getting at here is, I'm looking for the top 3 to 5 strains from all the "SB" breeders meaning, beans I can get from Seed Bay or Seed Boutique. There are other seed banks out there that is outside what I'm interested in.

To IronLion's point, yes, there is a lot of subjectivity to this, but I figure if the thread keeps going and people keep posting their favorites, then the best would bubble to the top.

"everything from X" doesn't help, right? When you have a breeder like GHS with 50 strains available (as an example).

thats what ive got planned for the next year but there is so many too hard to choose just a few also hve to say grindhouse mobboss and skywalker

When I say anything from GrindHouse I fuckin mean it!!!

Just pullin your chain Man :tiphat: What I mean is GrindHouse offers a short list of High Quality Meds..What you want/need is subjective..I first looked to Gh for the Blue Sonja (out BTW) while I was in your situation. There where so many flavor and colors out there..On here!!

Now I tend to look to the Breeder not the beans(Anyone can grow Hype)..GH is a MEDICINAL seed co,and I grow for T patients..So I can't really waste my Time on the flavor of the month..

GrindHouse does It HARD.

My humble opinion if you are new to growing would to order some SHIT (it is a strain) from MR. Nice. It is like $50 or so, has consistent quality and is great to get your feet wet with. Plus, it is not "trendy" which actually means that everyone else doesn't have it. You will also get some freebies with those. Otherwise, stick to a couple of cheaper strains, and keep your expensive beens in the fridge until you know you can handle them.

I would definetely grab some chem beans of some sort from Rez while they are up. Rez beans never used to just sit on the bou like that and who knows where he is at the moment. The real point is that you WILL find a great keeper from Chem. Wait until you have a little grow experience though, as they can be finicky and herm at times. Other wise there are so many great ones. I have recently been buying from alot of different breeders and popping alot of new stuff. I will say this, I have been impressed by everything I have got from the bay that has been free or cheap. I personally think that if you are just looking for anything cool and nothing specific then I would watch the server fund beans. There are some cool ones on there right now and more will always be added. I have scored some of my most exciting stuff lately from that server fund...
