32'x16' room what would you vert growers do!

So I'm debating on helping a friend out, his room is 32'x16' with 14' ceilings.

Currently the poor guy got conned into buying master blaster 1500watters. Any use for these vertically or just to much heat, and tell em to get rid of them.

I'm looking for the best XOXOXOX pattern for a room with these dimensions. What should the lights be on center and plants on center.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Holy shyte dude! 14' ceiling?!!

I have visions of a huge overgrow room ala my own concept. Dude you could fill that up with dirt and grow huge, HUGE mariuanaplants on it. All vert or hor/vert.

Take a look at my active intake device @ https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=219425 to get the idea. I have proof positive pressure does cause the plants to overgrow.

I thought this would be awesome to apply in that space you have ;)

Yeah.. masterblasters are a no-no... Not efficient at all.

Personally I would build 4 8x8 pods... with 600's stacked up as high as you want to go... :) Grow 1 strain per pod. Flip/flop them for greater environmental control.

You're buddy is in MI too? Wants to be compliant? You could put the plants on the floor and do 5 6x6 pods against 1 wall... I would put up a few more pods on the other wall, or just use the room to work... Veg, drying/trimming... It's what I would do.

thanks for the input guys.

I'm just looking for best spacing on 1000 watters and tree's.

the X O X O X O Pattern. Spacing between lights and plants to make it most efficient.

2 x 4 =8k equally spaced... Plenty of room to walk around your crop circles without having to move plants around !! I'm sure you could get way more light in there but I like a "calm" grow not totally maxed out...

Maybe 8 plants around each 1k should get ya 40 oz per light !!

I'm doin 2x1k in a 7x14... Plenty of work space all around ...

Peace up homies!

thanks for the input craven.

I'm looking for small plant numbers but large plants.

Was thinking more where each plant gets hit by at least 3 sides with 1000's and other plants have 1000's on every side.

X = Plant O=Light

I'm just not sure as to the proper spacing. I thought it was 4' on center.

Like X-O between the center of x and the center of O would be 4'?
Or is it more like X-O center from X to O is 2'

I was looking through that 40kw Idea's at bottom of the page but didn't see exact spacing specs.

You could do something like this where X=lights on first 6 hours, x=lights on 2nd 6 hours, and O=plants. So 16 plants, 24 bulbs of which 12 would be on at a time.

32x16?

I would do this layout with 5' centers on lamps and plants...
This would nicely fill 10'x25' giving a 3ft walkway around the perimeter of the room. 7 plants, 8 lights.
veg in another room for 8-10 weeks and shoot for 2lb+ per plant.

2.5 ton mini split will cool 8k bare perfectly....
I'd suggest 2x santa fe max dry (150 pint) dehumidifiers for 8k sealed.

I really appreciate the help guys.

For lots of reasons I've decided not to take on this project, and just keep working on my own.

Hopefully I'll be able to build my own vert tree setup within a year or so.

I'm really getting addicted to the idea of vert growing thats for sure.
The yields seem to be amazing, and seems most efficient.

Props to all you pioneers out there leading the way.

Much respect.

go with 600's lot more cooler, you can position the plants alot closer, Better use of those lumens, my opinion, But search Heath robinson he's the king of this vertical, truly inspiring...

each 1000 watt needs a 6x6 area for growth plus a walk around area. So let's say 7 X 14 is great for 2 1000 vert setup. So I could easily fit 8 vertical lights in your area. A/C, fans, etc needed. The plants can be as big as 6' going in. Aver 6-9 plants per light. Easy 1 1/2 lbs per light minimum for KUSHES, and twice as much for hazes, diesels, and so forth... Good Luck.
