I am so excited to be on IC!
I am going to be working on my very first grow.
I have been watching a friend of mine and his grow over the last months and about the time he started to flower, and I saw them, I was hooked. I have seen him battle mites, PM, root problems and was amazed at all of the things his girls endured. They are beautiful and I cannot wait to see them ready to go.
So I wanted to hit the ground running with a crop of my own. So I now have some babies of my own.
I am interested in anything scientific and since a lot of science goes into growing, I was hooked.

I like your energy!

I like your energy!

Welcome, FirstGrowGirl! :)
I'm always glad to see another woman join our ranks!
And although I am a bit biased, I think we ladies are predisposed to be fantastic growers; our nurturing instincts and attention to detail, give us an advantage. ;)
What strains will you be working with? I'd love to hear more about your set up!

Wishing good health to you and your garden!
May your inaugural crop be the first of many funky, frosty and bountiful harvests! :smokeit:
See you around, FirstGrowGirl!

Welcome to ICMag, don't be too shy or hesitant to ask questions, most folks here will be glad to share and answer any questions, or help solve any problems you might run into along the way...

Sounds like the kind of gal I'd like to bump into one of these days. It's tough to find a gal who is interested in growing.

but, you shouldn't have seen your friends grow, and vice versa

rule #1 - you don't grow......

NattyNattyGurrl,

Thank you for welcoming me! It's nice to know that I am not the only girl who is growing.

I Just acquired Wappa, ColeTrain, Blue Burmese, 707 Headband, C4, Blue Dream, ChemDog, Tahoe, Green Crack clones. I am curious to see how well they will do. I am doing Hydro because my friend recommended it to me. I have the ones I acquired from the dispensery in quarantine and treating them with Neem just to be on the safe side under small lights.. The other ones are in a rooter and I am waiting for root bumps.

I am not the most patient person in the world, so waiting for them to get root bumps or seeing new growth is agonizing. haha.

The only thing I can compare it to is being pregnant... You find out you're pregnant, you wait 16 weeks to find out what you're going to have, then you wait 22 more weeks to see what you have been focusing on for 9 months... Except this is shorter.

welcome welcome this site is awesome. looks like a good line up to start with best of luck. if startin hydro for the first time it is easy but not as forgiving as soil. my advice is make sure you have a ph/ppm meter. besides that have fun ask question and most important have fun and stay green... since you dont grow wink....

Thank you buys for all of the great tips on getting started! I have the ph/ppm monitor, carbon dioxide tank, nutrients, lights, I have an RH monitor, a dehumidifier, lots of air conditioning, Nutrients... I am prepared! er, I think or hope and it looks like a whole lot of support from you guys! I was wondering about some organic prays to be prepared in case of mites, PM, root rot? What type of nutrients is everyone using? When to add them? How do you guys control the PH, if you are using Hydro? What RH works well for you guys? How to monitor for bad bacteria and what to do with it? For clones... When is a good time to take them and how do you guys get them rooted and prepared for the following crop?

I plan on keeping a perpetual and my goal is to have 8 crops in a year.

Edibles... Are they worth it?

Hash... If you do it, what techinques and equipment do I need?

I want to get the most out of my crops.

I know it's a grocery list of questions... I just wanna do it right and be succesful. These are my girls we're talking about so I want them to grow up and do the right thing...
