I'm feeling paranoid today

For most of us this is our only outlet for any semi-intelligent discourse regarding growing, and the only way we can receive advice and learn new things.

paranoia is fear about the things you cannot see.

the im just walking around a corner and a truck smacks into me fears.

well, i just walk more carefully around corners. i dont need to actually fear it. or lie wake at night worrying about it.

its rare that i worry about my grow, i findless pointless fears frustating and lifedraining.

some people think paranoia is useful, i dont, years of it suck.
here´s tips for making it better, perhaps taking it away.

dont tell people you dont trust (and if you do trust them factor in that they are human and might make a mistake.)

dont tell anyone about the grow that does not need to know about it. (why, its none of their concerns and they arent actually helping with the grow, so why do you want them to know? out of pride? well they say pride goes before a fall)

are your smells safe?

are you ok if the equipment safeguarding your smells (lol) break down? how long do you have till the smell reaches undesirable places, do you want to find out?

so keep the growsize within your safety limits.

can anyone just walk in on the grow? are you renting? where would the fixers come? what can break down?

be careful with alot of water, giving the neighbor unexpected showers while you are away, because equipment malfunctioned, is not nice.

I would not have learned how to grow cannabis if it wasn't for places like ICmag. All beginners need questions answered and need to see how other people do their thing.

I'm glad when I get PM's from people who are new to the game. You give them information they need to be successful, and they appreciate it.

Sometimes I feel a bit paranoid smoking at home. Was that a knock at the door?....who's there? Strange noises...what was that?

Then I get out of the house and go for a walk through the local bushland...roll a fat one and don't worry about it.

Without ICMAG who the fuck do you get show your grows to? I have a lot of friends that grow, but that does not mean I show them mine. Without ICMAG I wouldn't have come as far as I have. Use Tor, and clean up the info attached to your pictures. You should be fine.

It is funny because I have a crop ready in a week or so, and I have noticed that I am playing the what if game a lot. What if the power goes out for an extended period? What if the AC breaks, and I can't replace it in time? Things like that. The kind of shit that i don't think about when I am early into flower.

I feel that you have an attachment to each crop. They are indeed your children. You have raised them from mere baby's, to old age, and death. Then even in death they bring you pain laughter, joy, sleep, pain relief, etc... These same experiences with a family member would have you crying like a little baby. I have to admit I tear up a little bit every time I smoke a bowl.

I minimize ANY paranoia situations. I have grown seeded plants before so I don't even need to order seeds through the mail anymore. I was busted for possession twice way back in the '70s, long time ago. I quit everything for the family, and an Air Force career. They're all gone. My paranoia isn't. My (totally paranoid I know) thought is that the third bust is gonna get the book thrown at me. I'm on SSDI and with a felony (cultivation) they can yank your SS. But I live alone, way out in the boonies, can't even see my neighbors. Still paranoid. Only my kids might know I grow. I NEVER talk about it. And I'm not gonna start loosening anything up. I have way too much to lose. It may be way overboard but better safe than sorry.

I'm going to hazard a guess, but by any chance do you have a crop flowering or nearing the end of flowering?

I've noticed quite a few folk get all squirrly and paranoid in the later stages of a grow?

It is quite a bit of pressure. Thieves, storms, diseases, pests, pigs...
