EARLY harvest anyone?

Hey Everybody,

Please share your experience and tips with early harvest strains. Who's already bringing in the buds? Pics are worth a thousand words, so of course would be appreciated. Don't forget to specify your lattitude (eg. 46N).

Here at 46N (46 degrees northern lattitude), planning to harvest GG#3 this week. Am also working with Maroc (FMS) and Green Poison, reputed to be early. When I planted Maroc before, harvest was around Sept 15. This year looks more like Sept 20. No experience with Green Poison and I haven't checked on them for a while. I hear they should be good to go around Sept 20. I will try and find out how to post pics next update.

Lot of people on this board are desperately searching for early strains. Now is the moment of truth, harvest! Have mercy, just show the people what you got!

Damn skippy,
Earl:tiphat:

im running maroc and green poison as well. Im around 44N and ill probably be pulling my marocs around the same time. The green poison im not sure but im impressed with how big they are - one is over 15' tall. Really shitty weather where im at so hopefully the mold doesn't set in but constant rain and low temps make me a bit worried about it. Wish i had some pics to put up but maybe at harvest.

I also ran a seperate plot of HFH genetics but it didnt get the attention it needed and was decimated by slugs. They seem like quick finishers though ill probably give them a better shot next year.

Here was the sweetest early harvest, a 2 foot high HFH hashplant that was planted out in may and harvested the end of July. This picture was taken July 1:

And another sweetie, HFH hashplant2:

The plant on the right in this next picture is my cross of a Paradise Seeds Vertigo (auto) and a Hybrid From Hell hashplant. This plant was just harvested from a June 18 from seed planting date:

I dont have pics as usual! LOL 43 lat. I have harvested some rain damaged plants! 1 pheno of HP2 will be ready as soon as it dries out a little, its gotta stop raining soon!! I have some MightyArne next week! They did not get as big as I wanted 4fters!! Also Pheno 2 of HP2 is really nice I hope she will finish 1st week of Oct. My hidden patches get done about a week or so quicker than my pampered plants! Ohhh yea harvested a BS2.2 about 2 weeks early due to mold! Good Luck to all!!!!!!!!!!!

I see that horrid disease Tots. At least it didnt damage your harvest. Ak has a punch. With a 6 month cure its whoop ass.

Thanks everyone, I love to hear what you got going, and trust me I just love to learn about early strains I've never considered. There is a wealth of knowledge to be gained here. Hope to hear more. Keep on sharing and caring.

One Love,
Earl

It looks like I might have to take a early harvest. my plant doesn't look anywhere close to being ready. it's been 4 weeks and my plant is a sativa so a 10 week strain.

I'm not gonna make it.

Can I bring it inside to finish with window light? I only have a few 23w cfls otherwise.

My plant is 4ftx4ft give or take a few inches. It looks like it'll produce only a few grams. I must be doing something wrong.

Guerilla Gold runt plant was harvested today, well well ripe. Maroc's are well on track for Sept 20, except the ones which are taller than me, which will take a week or so longer.

Loving the earlyness.

Chopping down 6 of my purple maroc's tonight. Maybe a little early but not too bad.

I harvested a little 3 ft runt a week ago today and it was a little further developed than the 7ft monsters I'm going after tonight.

Hopefully the 7 footers will have developed as well or better than the mini plant from last week.

mold is a real pain this year with Irene and all the other rain ive been hit with. Even my Marocs are in rough shape, ill have to chop them a little earlier than id like but ive already lost quite a bit to mold. What are you guys doin with the moldy buds? ISO Hash? Toss em?

I'm at 47 degrees N and I'd say your estimate for Maroc was just about spot on. I was at my plot today and half were ready & half could have used another 7-10 days. There were small amounts of mold on some of the plants that needed some more time, so I just chopped all 12.

They were all from seed, and I was impressed by the consistency of the finish time. Very resinous. I transplanted outdoors on June 6 and only visited the plot twice. I fed High N bat guano & kelp meal once & I fed High P bat guano & kelp meal the second time. Those were the only times I ever did any maintenance & they did very well.
