I am running a very small grow. 3 plants in square 3.5gal buckets. 36"x20"x62" Tent, 420w LED's.

Sadly because this is such a small space I have no room for my carbon filter. (Canfilter 2600).

From just about everything I've read/seen these filter are fitted with a fan that draws the air into the filter and out of the fan. I guess my question would be is it ok to push the air into the filter from inside the tent to the filter which will be on the outside of the tent?

Any thoughts would be great.

push or pull, either is OK for filtering. cant you hang the filter/fan from the cieling? but fan inside, filter out side set up becomes an exhaust fan. will it be your only exhaust ?? if there is another already, you'll need more intake ports.

I have a fan at the bottom that pushes clean air into the tent and one that pulls air out of the tent at the top. Im thinking about having the fan at the top pushing air out into the filter.

I push.
Its cool.
Make sure your pre-filter fabric is making contact with the inside surface of your filter.
Or go to a fabric store and get a similar fabric that will fit a bit better.

Pulling is better but pushing works.

Odor control requires negative pressure. Positive pressure forces air to escape unscrubbed. There is only one way to achieve positive pressure and that's with intake fans. Unless you're a ventilation expert, I'd consider removing the intake fan as a matter of personal safety.

Negative Pressure for Dummies

Note I am NOT saying intake fans cannot be used. Just that they are the fastest and only way to achieve positive pressure which can get you arrested, robbed or killed. Smelling is worse than telling, it's advertising. If you're not a ventilation expert, I wouldn't play with them

I agree with FB Pulling through the filter is what there made to do. The prefilter is useless if you push through it.
