Question about Super Lemon Haze...

Hey folks, I'm looking for some people who have grown Super Lemon Haze from (gulp!) GH and also their Lemon Skunk..
A kind of basic question, but it's rather important to me...
Were these two strains released as feminized only?
I would like to buy standard beans (as I always do) but from my searching it seems GH only pumps out feminized beans...
I'm looking to get these two strains nonetheless, as I've been reading nothing but excellent reports from everyone who grew em..
Any help you folks provide is much appreciated..

Thanks RG, yeah it's not good practice, and I'd much rather purchase standard beans...
But, these genetics sound too good and I'm hunting to find a few packs of em..
Seems they're sold out though... :badday:

The SLH is fire, I love it. It's one of my favs. Shitty about the fact that it's only available in feminized seeds.

has anyone else had a problem cloning plants from fem seeds? I cant get them to root but everything non feminized roots fine. Slh is really a good strain.

i hear there's a lot of hermies in these fem packs, just grow out some hermies and save the seeds.

you may say, but wont those seeds all be hermies, to which i will say, where the fuck did you get the seeds in the first place?

Both GHS strains are really good indoor but completely worthless outside for me.

I would start playing with Skunk1 x Haze, you should be able to find those phenos in there :ying:

Never grown out the lemon skunk, but recently grew 5 super lemon haze indoors. 3 of the 5 were excellent phenos, the other two were just ok.

I would have taken clones, but I have plenty of seeds left if I want to grow them out again. Besides, I have other seeds I want to run first. The SLH is very good smoke, but I have other seeds that need to be run before I try growing the SLH again.

If I were growing it again, I would start as many seeds as I could and take clones of everything. Once the donor plants are done, the clear winners should be obvious to you. Good luck and happy hunting!

I am not here to defend GH but you being a fan of hard mode should know these seeds are solid. I grow slh and I do not think you could hermy this plant unless you use chemicals. I have had light and heat issues and not a single nanner.

no i don't know shit about these seeds, never grown out a single paid for / name brand seed in my life till these g13 im currently growing.

im not raggin on GHS seeds, or any company for that matter, im just relaying information i have come across in the past and that is that fem seeds sometimes hermie out, if they do then collect the seeds and grow em, hermies or not its still lemon haze.

I also highly recommend this strain! You really can't go wrong running a 5 pack. I have not seen a hermy ever. My room has had high temps and has light leaks and it still good to go.

I have bought two packs of SLH.
First one had really tiny seeds that barely had the energy to crack.
Managed to get 3 out of their shells by using a dental pick, but they were not vigorous.
Ordered a second pack, and seeds were twice as big, or what I would call "normal".
I think some breeders are harvesting too early on their seed crops in their lust for profits.
Anyway, if you cross SLH fems with Skunk #1, you should get some nice results.

There are plenty of threads on SLH. The consensus is that it is a top notch strain. Like one of the few GHS strains that get top reviews around these parts.

ditto that ... I'm not a GHS fan and I generally avoid feminized seeds.

But, on a recommendation of a local grower, I tried a pack. Very good smoke, 3 top phenos all had a mix of nice potency and flavor. No hermies in sight.

About the only thing I can ding it on is yield ... this is not a heavy indica plant with huge buds. I'd say it's a pretty decent yield for a haze hybrid, but significantly less than most any indica dom line.

good seed product, try it.

best,

Seen only a few nanners here (out of 10 pounds)and there but no seeds.

This would be one of the only packs of feminized seeds I would recommend.

Pop at least 20 seeds and you should be able to get a excellent 8-9 week pheno

20???

They come 5 a pack, and based on my experience, I don't think you need more than that to find a "8 to 9 week keeper"! I found 3 out of 5, and a 4th very, very close, in one pack.

Nice, very nice insight provided by all...
Big Ups!!!
Got a pack and a half of SLH..
I went ahead and snapped up a 5 peezy of Lemon Skunk, and a couple of other tings too.. :D
I appreciate the positive vibes and honesty you all provided in helping purchase some sorely needed genetics..
Not a treasure trove of growers round here, and the ones who do are hoarders!
So, the seed game is our best option, and that can be dicey at times to say the least..
Thanks for helping I'n'I wade through those murky waters with positive information regarding SLH...
