Cns-17

alright how to start this...? lets see what do you guys use for a gallon feed of this stuff? Ive been told not use what the back of the bottle says to use half. That was at the beginning of my grow and i used this method all the way up to 60ml per gallon. (WAY TOO MUCH RIGHT??) I was talking with the local hydro shop guy and his jaw hit the floor when i told him this, he said not to use more than 10 to 20 ml per gallon. Ive checked again and again and again and one more time.

this is my readings for a gallon.
15ml=490ppm
30ml=990ppm
45ml=1010ppm
60ml=1020ppm

does this seem right or am i way off?? my tap water is 90ppm from the day of calibration and still the same today. I use tap water that has sat out for over a day with air stones for aeration for my feedings. I use 5ml of cal-mag and 10ml of liquid karma so with the 60ml all together im getting 1030-1050 ppm.

what in the wild world of sports is goin on?? Any ideas
im 6 weeks in veg and have no real signs of a nute burn a few spots here and there and im thinking thats because of water dripping on leaves as i hand feed in my coco. im scared now because of the reaction from shop guy and sure from you guys too. Is there any way that at a high of 60ml its not upping the ppm anymore? Im scared to feed and have been giving them 15ml of cns-17 5ml of cal-mag and 10ml of liquid karma last few feeds ppm at 800
Sorry for the long post im at a loss right now
is it ok to feed 60ml of cns17? i figure thats way too much for a gallon thanks for any input

Are you talking about Ripe? Using 20mL gets me too almost 700ppm, which is what I run during flower, any more and I start seeing burnt tips (that is with CNS17 Ripe, CNS17 grow is much stronger at 10mL I get 700ppm) I have not used the bloom yet. My tap is 450ppm, my RO system puts it at 25ppm according to my new meter.

60 ml per gallon ? where did you get the recomondation to use that much ? the bottle only says for the grow 20 ml per 4 liters max . 25 for bloom & ripe . I mix 20 ml of bloom in flower & feel like i'm using ALOT of nutes @ 100ml for 5 gallons .

not that the dosing is much different but are we talking about cns17 soil-coco or hydro formula ?

I am currently running the cn17 5th week of veg and my ppms are about 900 no problems all the plants love most want more. Your meter is fine. I am running 50 ml of cn 17 grow with some added thrive alive and some multi zyme from house and garden.

I am using the soil coco not the hydro.

I havent dont that math as of late but that's not true. It's about the same per gallon as FloraNova. You get less crystal issues with CNS too. You dont have to shake the jug for very long either. 25ml/Gallon does it for most plants too and is too much for some.

Hey blazed...has got to be the meter ...30 ml must ppm double the ppm of 15 ml and 60 would do same to 30...get some ppm calibration fluid ...meters sometimes will only work at the bottom of the range before they quit completly ime

i havent run cns-17 just pbp, my flora nova routine is like 5ml maybe 8, pbp is always 15-20+ , the shit gets burned through like water, at 30 bucks a bottle the flb is like 3 times the value

we are talking about cn17 which is a one part with three stages, grow bloom ripe, if you do the math this is actually one of the cheaper nutes out there i use 15ml per gallon in coco...

and at 30 dollars for a gallon, it goes a long way..

i cant speak for pbp never used it...

thx, but it seems others need to use alot. but the gallon size i overlooked, might be great value. id like to see more pics of its performance in coco.

I use 15-20ml of cns17 bloom for coco from start to end. I see no need for veg formula and the plants look great so far. I'm in the middle of my first run with it.

if you ever need a quick way of calculating your predictable ppms then you can use this simple formula:

1ml of 1% is ~2.654ppm.

So 20ml of 4% would be 212ppm of that element minimum.

For phosphorus you have to calculate out the oxygen. Multiply the ppm's by 0.44.
For potassium you have to do the same thing, except multiply the ppm's by 0.83.

Don't forget about the micro, and anticipate at least a 20% deviance from what you calculate to what is actually in the bottle, expect the final solution to be more than predicted. Liquid Karma will register on a meter at over 700% of predicted. Cal-Mag Plus adds 0.1ec for every 1ml.
