Didn't have cannabis so asked my doctor for Seroquel

So I'm a daily smoker, usually take a few bong hits every hour or so. Ran out of weed and money this past week, and figured I'd try to get something from my doctor to make the time go by while I wait until Friday so I can buy some smoke. Now, for all of you going "why don't you grow your own" well my garden was destroyed, so no go for this year. I will be starting a stealth cab shortly however. Anyway, I had tried Seroquel about a month before when my doctor gave me some 50mg samples for sleep - if I don't smoke, I don't sleep. The 50mg knocked me out.
So my doctor must have fucked up and gave me a prescription for 200mg. I was the highest I've ever been in my life. I took it around 4pm yesterday, woke up about noon today. During the hour or two I fought the drug and tried to stay awake, I could really relate to someone who uses opiates.
I can see why they give this stuff to insane people...it makes you pass out. For a LONG time.
Well, it's almost 4pm, and I still have nothing to smoke, so I think I'm going to take another 200mg and try to sleep until I get my smoke tomorrow.
This stuff really has zero recreational capability, as it makes you pass out and sleep forever, but I can definitely see why people in jail scramble for it. If you've ever said "I wish I could sleep until I get my weed" then this is the shit.
I'll probably keep a dozen or so in the event that I get raided again and I can just sleep through the booking process and the sitting in jail part, but I'm tossing the rest tomorrow.
I really can't believe how doctors are so eager to give this out to people...I mean this is like SERIOUS shit...very similar to being high from opium or codeine or morphine.
So about 20 hours until I can get my weed...I'll probably be sleeping for 18 of those hours.
Our country is FUCKED. My doctor can't give me a naturally occuring weed, but can give me a drug that gets me higher than Jesus no questions asked.

i got about 10 bottles of 300s. i quit taking em . they make you gain weight like a mofo. i still let them prescribe em tho. dont want my shrink thinking i am unmedicated.they only got me high the first few times . high enough i could barely stand up. bounced off the walls all the way to bed.my regular doctors wont prescribe shit barely but my shrink will prescribe anything i want. weird

Pharmaceutical companies give doctors a "bonus" for the amount of certain pills they prescribe, especially those pills of higher doses. It might only be a small percent coming out to less than 2-3 dollars a prescription, but multiply that by refills and thousands of patients.

Lol I hear you man. Yeah man this stuff knocks me on my ass. I closed my eyes and was seeing flashes of colors. I think Seroquel should really only have like 3 applications - people who are like violently insane, coming off hard drug addiction, or for long flights. This stuff is just ridiculous....its been like 10 minutes and my fingers and toes are already tingling. I'll be out by 6. Hopefully I have dreams of buds and getting baked. I think its also a good cyanide capsule substitute - take some as they're knocking at the door and wake up as they release you on bail. 1984 is on, should give me some odd dreams. Superman good call on discontinuing this stuff.

Shrinks love to label and look at the dsm4. Most shrinks I've met were crazy or outcasts. Most of them shouldn't be allowed in public nevermind prescribing stuff to people. My next idea is to get Maranol. Yup now its hitting me. Feel like a bowl of jello.

this stuff is not like opiates, at least strong ones. It might make u nod like ur on opiates since it puts u to sleep, but the euphoria is not there. Maybe for a novice opiate user.

I used to use the stuff when i was hooked on opiates to help me sleep when i was in withdrawl. Use to crush it up and dissolve it water, never tried puttin it up the nose.

My boy was in for 30 days, he said all he did was eat this stuff and sleep all day, said it helped alot.

i didnt take em to get high or sleep. i took them cause the shrink reccomended em. they mellowed me out alot. but not more than medibles and smoking weed. so after a long time i gradually got off em.feel alot better and more energy. guess i am supposed to be slightly crazy lol. i also lost a bunch of weight.

25 mg is all you need to sleep deeply for at least 8 hours. If you don't suffer from recurring nightmares (or PTSD) it might do the trick until next "ship" arrives.

It's powerful for sleep though. 1/4th of one after a night of coke or mdma and you could go to sleep np..

That's all I ever found it useful for at least.

I often wind up in similar situations as yourself and end up visiting the Dr and getting a couple of diazepam/valum. Doesn't knock me out but takes the edge off and makes it easier for me to get into a state that I am able to fall asleep.

It's good to know this stuff is out there. To be used when needed and not abused my friend. I hope you enjoy your smoke when it comes! Don't smoke it all hehe
I'm lucky enough to have this ball of gumby to fall back on when if I run out.

I'm not going to judge or try advise you as I'm not wearing your shoes but my personal opinion is that you could take the fact that you require this medicine as a sign that you need to try and find a more healthy way to pass these uncomfortable periods of your life.

i personally dont like how seroquil make me feel ...
