I do have some cat killer. They reak havoc here in the valley. I rememberr a few years ago I was inspecting plants and noticed a dead leaf coming out of my top bud. I pulled it out along with a chunk of discolored bud. I was very suprised and upon futher inspection I noticed alittle green catipiller inthere eating and shitting away. I spent the next couple of hours looking through the rest of my plants and couldnt believe how many I found. Oh ya it was hella hot that day. no fun. anyway U would recomend start spraying n sept? guy at local hydro shop said he already started spraying. what is spinosad?? thnx 4 droppin in

thnx 4 compliment. your garden looks great . I do have some sativas Bluedream, Caseyjones,SourD they are about5' now. gonna start feeding this week. gonna chk out ur thread.

I think that a lot of people think bud rot is just bud rot, but it is caused a lot of the time by caterpillars. I have found spraying for those guys really reduces the amount of bud rot at the end of the year. Of course don't dowse your nugs with any spray on cold, moist days or at nights. Spinosad is.....

Spinosad (spinosyn A and spinosyn D) are a new chemical class of insecticides that are registered by the United States Environmental Protection Agency‎ (EPA) to control a variety of insects. The active ingredient is derived from a naturally occurring soil dwelling bacterium called Saccharopolyspora spinosa, a rare actinomycete reportedly collected from soil in an abandoned rum distillery on a Caribbean Island in 1982 by a scientist on vacation.[1] It has not been found in nature since that time, and was subsequently described as a new species. The bacteria produce compounds (metabolites) while in a fermentation broth. The first fermentation-derived compound was formulated in 1988. Spinosad has since been formulated into insecticides that combine the efficacy of a synthetic insecticide with the benefits of a biological pest control organism.

It also helps with ants, cats, anything with larve I believe. (bee's, don't spray while bees are out if possible) This is considered organic and breaks down in a matter of days. You can spray up to harvest, but I believe most products don't recommend more than 4 applications a season. This is the equivalent of the nuclear bomb, it does the trick and keeps populations down. I spray all my bushes and trees with this in order to keep populations under check.

The Caterpillar Killer spray I use from day one of flower. I didn't recommend it that early to use because you really don't "have" to use it till the buds get more dense. The cats can nibble on underdeveloped buds and wont cause bud rot because the nugs still allow air to breeze through. Once those nugs form up, then it is a different story.

Your grow looks amazing by the way. I think you might be right about heat stress being in the San Joaquin Valley. Mulch will help with this also, as the roots will stay a little cooler. You should expect similar flowering times to what I said in my earlier post. I have noticed my Killer Queen Kushes start to show some pistles also. That doesn't mean for sure it is going into flower. Lots of outdoor plants will show heavy pistols before flowering. If you see a large spike in growth along with the pistol then you know flowering has begun. Your doing an amazing job and I wish you the best of luck. Take care.

I wouldn't expect the biggest plant out of an afgoo. It might just be done growing for the most part. However your Sour D is the SHIT! She is just reaching for the sky, happy as can be. I think you will be happy with your yields at the end of the year if all goes well. Seems like you are well on your way.
