Thanks Guffetrold, 3 weeks after this pic it went into an 8"pot and thats where it is now 18wks old and week one of flower done tomorrow. I'll put in a pic tomorrow night along with my own babies, they are my biggest priority but I've heard nothing but good things about the blueberry so it'll be getting very good care (best I can do).

Setting Up Light One
Setting Up Light One
Tonight after 6 days flower I have set up light one. These plants will remain positioned as they are until harvest. I do have lots of space to allow for growth and none ot the twist ties are too tight.
When you look at the bent plant the string in use now near the top is acually holding the top up, tomorrow night I expect to reverse this. I've also included pics of the tallest and shortest phenos of each.

These are the smallest plants set up under light one (except for the bent plant). Tomorrow night I'll set up the 2nd light as the above using the tallest. Light two will be the most productive if I set it up right. Right now I'm thinking 200-250g light one and 250 - 300g light two.
(Next night) I was all excited about the lights coming on and setting up the bigger plants but once I had a look I decided just to let em grow for another week like they are. I may try to get the branches aiming at the plastic twist tied to the front but all in all everything is doing well and nothing is starved for light. It'll be another 2 weeks before I have to worry much about buds pulling branches down. Just a note the string holding the top up for the bent plant under light one is still required, I was sure the string would have been reversed tonight? Tomorrow for sure???

Today V21, I picked my 22 clones for crop two. I transplanted from trays to styro cups. Two clones of each including the BB and I took a 3rd AKSt #1 and SGST #2 because they appear to have inherited more from there dad than the others. The whole purpose of this breading was to get a shorter plant with less space between the internodes and a quicker finishing time. The others are fine but these two look most like what I want. If they turn out not so good I have two of everything else. The plan is to sample crop one and then start picking favorites for crop 3, and then Crop 4. Ending the season with clones of a few Primo's for the 2012/13 season. The first pic is already above but it gives a perspective with the others.

NOTE: The heading should read Crop One Rev 3 Expeiment. I've been looking around and I've seen alot of things I never thought possible. I am going to do a little experiment with the two tallest plants and see how much Bud I get if I start flowering when they are small. I have taken one 4wk old clone from each strain, off the pheno with what appears to be the most sativa.
If you had told me to try this 2 weeks ago I would have said "what the hell for?" (right BubsNUGS) I wanna see what happens, might change my plans for Crops 3-4.

A Hermie

8 days 12/12 and one of my SgSt is a Hermie! I was looking around with a magnifying glass and there's as many male flowers as female!!! The other night with the magnifying glass I sould see something??? at the base of a couple of banches. Tonight just standing there you could see lots of male flowers without before using the magnifying glass!!!
So now I'm down to 9 plants. Son of a ...
Just look at the nodes 2nd & 3rd from the top not much of a picture but you should get the idea.

Thanks Guff, ya it sucks about the Hermie all right! As for the early flowering, looks like a few of my extra clones won't be tossed after all. I'll set em up tonight.
What's up PB? I see you jumped right in with both feet. Best way to go, and yeah you will keep finding cool shit on this site for a while. I've been here over a year and still find new things to keep me entertained.

You bet man. I'd be one pissed of boy eh! ha ha ha Actually the other night I saw something with a couple of branches looking through the magnifying glass.
Last night I could see lots just standing there looking from 2ft without the glasses! I had a good look at the others one more time and this was the only one. Man do I ever wish I hadn't screwed up the light on my clone for sex experiment, I wonder if this would have shown up then? The pics are the best I could do (I took 20-30!!!), just look at the base of the 2nd-3rd nodes especially in one pic.
I was just thinking of my new plan for this empty space. I'll set up some pots on the same area as the bud bender would take up. I'm curious to see the difference between the 6" & 8" pots.

so thats the bud bender eh? why did you do that rather than traditional LST by tying the plant to the pot?

Hi stihgnobevoli, on the "Bud Bender" not really but sort of. Bud bender is just a name I made up when I was telling smilley & BubsNUGS about my last grow, it aint too fancy. I just wanted to bend the ones under the light 90 degrees to the floor. I wanted to get more light to the bottom buds so they'd produce like the plants at the side of the light?
As for the LST, I don't really know? I just thought if I did that I wouldn't get the bend in the exact place I wanted? I just tied the stalk to the dowel behind it at about 4" from where I wanted the plant to level out and then pulled it down and tied it down in the center ( I had to piss around first time figuring this out). Tonight I'll probably have to reverse the string at the top of the plant as it bends?
As for the LST, I don't really know? I just thought if I did that I wouldn't get the bend in the exact place I wanted? I'm sure glad I kept the "extra" clones.
I managed to find 2 similar clones off 4 plants to do an experiment with the pot size. I also have 2 individuals. One of the experiments is with the 4wk old BB. I`m also using 2 clones off my favorite AKSt. This is the plant that is smallest and appears more indica but its clones are among the tallest? Lets see what happens.
I gotta say I expected the plant that was Hermie to yield 50-60g. I`ve seen some awesome sights here and this is why I`m trying these small plants. 60g from this new deal is only 6g a plant. Even though they're not pure sativa I gotta do better than that, this could change life for LuvPB.
Things being as they are for now one must consider plant numbers. 22 aint the ideal but more is only worse? For now though I really gotta see how this works and the crap plant left a perfect position. I moved the 1st experiment up one coffee can tonight.

Hi PB. Its good to see you're trying new things. Experimentation is the key to progress. Maybe a stadium set-up in the not too distant future?
Those hermies can be a pain in the ass. Another risk we take when popping new seeds. I guess you'll be keeping a real close eye on the others throughout flowering, the last thing you need is a bunch of hermie pollinated seed plants.
Its also good to see your green light on here and not so much on FB. This place is far more enjoyable and entertaining. Agreed? Keep with the program and revise it as many time as you deem fit...................

Ya I wish someone had told me about the possibilities with the smaller plants and that there was a place I could see other grows online! ha ha ha Can't talk about growing doobies on fb!!! Vacation is over next week so the green dot will be on a tad less after that. I'll have to work an hour or two of IC a day into my schedule, I'll ask maybe they'll give me another computer I can use for coffee & lunch. First thing I'll suggest "hobby" computers all round to boost moral.
Me and nugs had a wee disagreement last night (hardly ever happens) on the benfits of my normal method/these new smaller versions. I said lets just wait and see. I'll be harvesting anywhere from 1st week of Oct to the last week. Ya ya ya I know these aren't sativas but wtf it's just for funzies. Check out "Nevelles Haze & Everything" by CHACO thats what got me thinking along with a few others.
