Opinion on picture

Hey guys. I've looked at other pics of sick plants here but can't decide which one this one is. They just look so similar to me. Just wondering if anybody out there in cyberspace has an opinion on this.

She's early on in flower. It is currently 82 F. and sunny out. Overall, the plant looks weepy. It doesn't need water. I don't believe that it is over watered. It's possible root bound. I haven't fed it many nutes at all. The last water she received was from the rain. Any ideas would be great. Many thanks guys. Peace :thank you:

I bet cal mag will fix that right up. that stuff seems to fix a lot of problems in the garden, altho I have never grown outdoors.

magnesium def, i assume you are nearing or in flower? and it might be rootbound too, or you arent watering properly. there is a spot where the roots arent getting water or possibly overfert. either transplant or if you cant then flush the soil real good and water again with nutes that have calcium and mag. if you are using gh add more micro, if not add 1tsp epsom salt dissolved per gallon of water.

overall that leaf you are holding up magnesium def, the wilting parts of your plant are underwatered, might be the roots all the way at the bottom are too cramped or might be you just arent getting a part of your soil wet and the roots in that area are dry.

she looks pretty healthy, expect older leaves to die off especially ones lower inside that lovely bush. :tiphat:

if yr watering from the top channels can develop and the water will flow down them and out of yr pot BEFORE the soil has had time to soak up the water. so you end up watering a lot but the plant doesn't get any benefit.

to check if this is wots hapnin place a high sided saucer or even a piece of black plastic under and around yr pot (a pot condom!) to catch wots running out. fill this saucer as deep as you can and let the plant soak for a cuppla hours. yr plant should soon stand up.

I grow like you but use saucers all the time to ensure thorough wetting.

or you can just jab a pencil in the top of the soil or a screwdriver whatever, just poke a buncha holes deep as you can to the middle of the pot before you water.

Damn good ideas guys. And thank you again. I'm going to transplant this into a 18 gallon container I got at Wal Mart for $6.24. A clay pot near that size is over $20.00 so forget that :) I have a feeling that some of them are yellowing from old age, but recently there have been too many. So, I am using some epsom salts for the magnesium and a nice looking organic soil amendment called Zoom that I bought at Lowe's garden center. That will take care of the calcium portion. I'll use less than what the package suggests just to be safe. I'll keep my fingers crossed as well. I've never transplanted a tree before lol

Ok, done. On a scale of 1 to 10, that sucked ha ha. Got the bush transplanted. Just cut away the old pot and easy was easy. There wasn't any trenching that I saw but the soil was needing drenched. I put new soil in with her, drenched her with a weak epsom salts water solution. Now I'll just sit and watch for any new yellowing of fan leafs. Hope she'll be okay. I transplanted her at dusk and it was cool outside (70 F.) Wish me luck. :) Thanks guys for everything.

Next morning she was perked right up. I picked off the yellowing leaf fans. Thank you all for your insight. :thank you:

Great. I have been feeding this girl the runoff water from my portable AC unit. I assumed it was fine. It turns out that the water was well over 8.0 on my pH meter. Not cool. :(

Unless its an organic soil with buffers ... PH is the most important things you need to do when adding nutes .a soils PH feed range is from 6.0 to 6.5 so all the elements your feeding can be absorbed by the plants . which is probably why the mag def showed so early .
on a side note .... in the 3rd & 4th week of flowering the plants need more mag than they do cal . but a good 5ml dose of calmag or epsom salts will ward off any defs .

good luck brother .... you'll be fine . :)

i wouldn't worry too much about keeping the ph between 6 and 6.5 you'll go crazy. just make sure its above 5 and below 7, you will be alright.
