Seeds From 2008/2009

NOTE: I started this thread a week ago and after reading through it I found a few things I should change to make it easier to follow.

Hi to all. The "PB" in my name stands for "Primo Bud" which is what I've loved since 1973. I spent all day/night yesterday trying to get the hang of this new site and think this Forum is the one for me. I have a very simple grow method using ProMix and "Advanced Nutrients" (actually this is my 1st season with "A.N."). I use a 400w MH for vegging and one or two 600w HPS for flower. My 1st crop this year is only 10 plants and thus only under the one.
I made my seeds in my 2008/2009 season. I grew out 10 each AK47/Sage & Sour/Sensi Star. Picked a favorite female of each and a great looking male Sensi Star. I call the AK47/Sensi Star (AKSt) and the Sage & Sour/Sensi Star (SgSt)
I started the new seeds in my 2009/2010 season. I found all to be right on and picked two favorites (one AKSt and one SgSt) for my 2010/2011 season. Bonehead that I am I quickly killed all my SgSt clones and was left with the one AKSt for the entire 2010/2011 season! PB for sure but still !!!
I started my 2011/2012 season end of May using another batch of seeds. The plan was to veg 9wks take 4 clones off each and flower after one more week. My 1st batch of clones did not do well (it's very hot here in July) and so I took a second set of 4 clones each at the end of week 10 and now 2 weeks later they are rooted and looking good so today is the first day of flower. This was my first change of plans which I call Revision One (Rev 1) The tallest is >50" and the smallest almost 40", 8 branches off each!!! I grow 3-4 crops a season, I smoke a pile but not that much! What I do is take a crop or two and make Hash in my home made 120mic tumbler and take the weed left over from the tumbler and make Oil.
Been growing since 2003, if I'm not working I'm usually in the basement. Man I love this stuff! Two friends suggested this site to me (probably so they'd quit having to hear me babble). You will all see nothing too special about my grow, man I can't believe what I see around here! Awesome stuff just awesome stuff.

This is the Sensi Star Dad of both SgSt and AKSt at 18 days flower.

Here is 2011/2012 Crop One after 12 weeks veg and 8 Branches gone to cloning. 3 SgSt Females. 6 AKSt Females and one Blueberry. Started Flowering the day after this pic taken. Sunday Aug 21st.

Best of luck with that other forum. I see good things but are you sure you're smart enough for that type of set up? You're my first reply! I thought maybe I was the only one who could read it. Ya only one light this time. With the 3 in the middle on the "bud bender" height shouldn't be a big problem even with the 8" lost with the new floor. Kinda sad looking with 8 branches gone but they're gonna be so tall none of that would have gotten much light anyway. I got 4 grows I wanna watch and I guess I'll keep an eye on that "Hawian Snow" verticle grow I heard about. Show me how it's done.

Maybe you should highlight your "budbender" in the Growroom Designs & Equipment forum. Also inquiring minds want to see the ho-hasher design and operation. Just a suggestion, you might get more interest highlighting your strains in the title of the grow diary, I don't know. If you keep knocking it out of the park like you do, you'll still attract lots of interest.

I didn't even know there was an eqiip/desg forum. I'll be checking it out. The bud bender is under the light now but not set up. I wait till about 2 weeks 12/12 to try and make sure I put the bend in the right place. I'm gonna change it a bit to help with the plants around it. Check it out mid Sept. A wee bit tall eh?

I know we can't talk politics on here and thats good. However I'm Canadian and I just woke up to hear Jack Layton died! I never voted for him in my life but he was a good man and this is a real bummer. A very compassionate dude, I'm sure he learned some sad lessons about Canadian "health care" in his final months. In Canada his Party (NDP) was the only of the 3 main ones which might have members on here! Still in this country all parties will be waiting for our cousins down south to legalize before us. I'm starting to get babbling I see. Lousy day bye Jack, you were a good man.

Crop One is looking good, 12/12 for 2 days and no PB yet. It sure is hard to remember I can't go in there for 12hrs ha ha ha.

You're not kidding Guffetrold, I'm stuck in front of my computer can't even stop to run downstairs for a puff! (gonna in a sec though) Thanks, I'll let you guys see what I'm seeing, should work out. Kinda tall but my fault, screwing up the first clones! The ones right under the light will be bent 90 degrees to the floor in 2 weeks so my height will hopefully not cause much grief.

NOTE: The heading above should read Crop One Revision 2. I had to change the plan a 2nd time. 12 weeks vegging and these plants are too big (tall) for my normal setup. I was in the process of moving the 10 plants to the floor giving me an additional 8 inches when I decided the best thing to do was use my 2nd light. 5 plants under each light will screw my normal goal of 450-600g/light big time but 10 like these under one light and some will suffer big time.
Hey whats that I hear! Is that you laughing BubsNUGS, I don`t mind being wrong I just hate it when you`re right! Right on Nugs go ahead and gloat ya big knob. Here`s a quick couple of pics of the temporary set up. 5 tallest under one light and 5 shortest under the other. I`ll have to give this a bit of thought.

Thanks smilley my boy, just think of the razzin, "I told you so" I'll be gettin next time we meet. Ya like I said I was just gonna take out the new floor and then I thought still not very good.
Check it out on Sunday, I spent a bit of time thinking ha ha ha and two of em are 54", 4 are 47"or near it and 4 are 42" or near. I'm thinking bend the tallest 90 degrees to the floor, one directly under each light. Then surround each light with a combination of four others. I can't wait for the lights to come on! I probably won't bend till F14? I made a new thread in strains/hyb

54 inches, wow! Sure you're not gonna have ceiling height issues? Are you still gonna use the budbender? Maybe on the tallest ones?

Clone failures sure suck. I've had my share over the years, one time, I had a clone failure followed by a spider mite infestation in the flower room. That really sucked. Usually I just start more seeds rather than cutting more and delaying flower. Good luck buddy.

I remember listening to you whine and snivel. Lights came on tonight and they sure look like they enjoy having more room (bite me BubsNUGS). Just trying to figure out the best thing to do on Saturday. For sure the 54" as described in post 16 but the other 8 I do have choices. Better than having no choice!!!

I located a pic of the AKSt from last season at 34 days flower. This pheno was the one chosen from 6 grown in 2009/10. These plants would be ready in 50 days. Because I killed my SgSt clones last summer, the above pheno (all clones of the same plant) is all I've been puffing since last Nov. There was Hash and still is oil but all from the same plant. Those in this picture is 1/2 my final crop of 2010/11 April and were the 7th or 8th clones of clones since 2009. Average 40g each depending on positioning.

Here's the blueberry I've mentioned when it was 10wks old. Given to me in a 1" cube at 8 weeks old, Styro cup that day and 2wks later I put it in the 6". Now 17 weeks old and on 12/12 for 4 days. Not really high on my priority list this year but variety is the spice... The day I was offered it I said no thanks then after a few min called back and said sure!
