hey guys, ive been in love with this forum for several years but ive always been quiet untill now. i had a couple of questions i couldnt find the answer to, so i kind of broke out of my shell and i thought this would be a good time to say hello to everyone :wave:

a bit of info about me: i have a couple of grows under my belt. unfortantly since ive moved to manhattan for security reasons ive stopped growing. so now basically i just try to amass as much info as possible to plan out my future projects in great detail. i actually just bought a c.a.p. extreme greenhouse controller from a buddy of mine. he hardly used it, he switched to an even fancier greenhouse controller, and now i feel like this thing is burning a hole in my pocket (so to speak) i cant wait to try it out !!! its been over a year since my last grow, the silver lining being that i have all this excess time to plan and also to purchase expensive things like e-ballasts, light rails, things that really would of been out of budget arent so bad when u buy them bit by bit over a 12 month period !!


i hope i can be helpful and contribute to this forum as much as possible <3 sum420

thanks, i am glad to be here... the more i look around on this site the more i am amazed at the seemingly endless amount of information. i feel like this is a gigantic virtual weed library !!


btw if i cant pm people, does that also mean i cant receive pm's from others?

I think you can receive them but they will just wait there until you have 50 posts....

That is a good question though.....hopefully we will find out the answer once you reach 50!!!

Damn I knew someone was watchin. So thanks for provin I am not paranoid...much..welcome Bro. man havin that time to plan and spread out the $$$ is a sweet way to look at it. If you wanna talk Hydro (or any thing else)hit me up on any of my posts. That will bump your post count..

thanks paladin. i'm kind of an old fashion soil grower but i am thinking about setting up some kind of auto-water wick system for when i am away.

when ur addicted to growing as bad as i am, ur kind of forced to look at the silver lining when u go on hiatus. its been well over a year since my last grow but i still wake up in the middle of the night thinking, holy shit when was the last time i watered my plants !!! i literally have nightmares about it to this day.


ricardo, it will be a little while before i can pm anyone but i appreciate the offer. right now i'd really love to talk to someone who has had a lot of experince with different strains. i've been looking a lot on seedbo, but ive never heard of these breeder's so how do i know which is the most reliable to order from?

i hear a lot of good things about paradise nirvana so i figure they would be a safe bet. im focusing on a strain that will finish quickly and have a high yield.. ofc potency is importent to me, but for my first grow back id rather have a super good yield, than have super high potency.

i kno ak47 and big bud are tried and true classics so i might just end up going with them. i've never had access to many different strains, too paranoid to order seed packs off the internet, so i usually end up growing whatever my friends get, but for this next grow im going all out! if anyone has any suggestions please let me know!!

arghh, i wrote up a whole mini-paragraph and when i posted it, my ethernet wire came out and the whole thing was lost.

well it was mostly me rambling on about how happy i am to be here and to have like minded people to talk to. cant wait to hit the 50 post mark !!

paladin thanks for the suggestion/links... i am really like that blumat auto-water device, not just for mj but for my plants around the house too lol..

cravenmore, its true if u only grow one or two plants its not that big of a deal, but than i live in an apartment building filled with firemen, retired nypd, and not so retired nypd... in fact ive already run into some trouble, and that was just with the smell of me smoking a single joint, AND i was exhaling through a special carbon filter to get rid of the smell, AND i have an ona bucket setup with ona gel !!!

Hey Sum420 welcome man im new here myself. Theres tons of info here and great peeps too everything u need to know.

One thing.. If your getting into trouble after blazing one joint and after exhaling through a carbon filter and your still thinking of growing in an apartment compex with fireman & NYPD... Bro... Really?? Don't be so foking stupid is your freedom worth a couple of oz? Thats extremely shortsighted thinking on your part sorry to say.

BlazingSaddles, sorry man but i think u misread. cravenmore said i should be growing, i was telling him my reasons as to why i DONT grow, and why im waiting to move to a more secure location before i start. if u read my intro paragraph (its fine if u dont, i kno its a bit too long lol) u'd see that i havent had a grow in over a year ; )


im all about security brah, i dont take chances.
