what makes a 250.00 strain better than a 40.00 strain.

The fact that you paid 210$ more for it..
No seriously I have read all the threads and agree with SOME of what everyone has said.. Then again I think SWT coined the saying (???)
"It all starts with 1 seed":artist: ( ask some of them lucky nirvana fuks... I know a few of them with knockout genetics... I personally dont grow them but hey... it all starts with 1 seed)

shishkaberryXshishkaberry is the best yielder ive seen under 600 son-t, it did'nt lose anything ,i think it was $40-50 at ME ,at that time shishkaberry was goin for 150.

Hey Jm, sorry mate I was just trying to be a funny fuck (without much success) and used the CJ3#f2 as an example as they are the latest addition to my collection and despite the fact I paid a lot less than $100 for them I view them as a high calibre, "elite" seed strain and so used them as the example. The question isn't something any single person could answer as price/value is so subjective. I honestly think however that I scored a real gem with these CJ beans as I have heard nothing but "ffffffffiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrre!!!!!!!!!!" from people who's opinions I trust and value. I just picked up BOG's BlueMoonRocksXSourBubble (the Blue Kush X) for $35 from the SF at the the bay by Angel4US and a while back got Motarebel's SourTurbo (Rez Diesel V2.5XV3.0-I think?) for $40 so there are gems around if you look. Either of the above, I would have paid double for but didn't have to. I don't know, the more you think about the question the murkier the waters become.

I wasnt being sarcastic your gonna love the 3

I am gonna change my stance on the subject though .There are alot of real good smaller breeders ,I'll use soft 420 as an example. They provide the communty with some excellant strains at a reasonable prices. The key to finding these gems is doing research (search function). The other downfall is there is a limited amount of beans by the smaller guy vrs say Rez for example. You gotta be quick and on the ball to To snag some of the releases.

Dont worry soft keep things going the way you are and the ST will hit the 250 mark

I am sorry, but as a grower complainin about the price of beans, nutes, equipment is kinda like a coke dealer bitchin about the price of cut'....my .0002

Jm-thanks mate. Yours is another opinion/report to chuck on the pile regarding the CJ#3 and I am getting itchy waiting to grow them. I think I was lucky with the BMRxSourBubble as the listing appeared after a page refresh or something so I grabbed them. Same goes with Fractal's StrawberryDiesel IX, was waiting for them to list at the Boo and they came up just after I left the screen for a beer, $40 StrawberryDiesel beans? yes please, 2 packs. You are spot on though, it's a case of the the quick and the dead when it comes to snagging these beans at Nirvana prices as the second someone gets a whiff of the beans being listed they dissappear, sometimes in a matter of seconds. I've only ever bought 2 packs at once as I think it's nice to let others in and that was the SD-IX but I have a sneaking suspicion some folks grab whole listings. Your point about availability is a very relevant one when it comes to beans like these, infact supply is probably the most important factor. The KyleKushman's StrawberryCoughxSwT#3 (or is it Swt#4? forgot...) beans that Phillthy sent to the bay are a classic example of human desire dictating price. A few lucky folks were able to pick these up at $40 BIN price, whereas the remaining 5 lots were the focus of fierce bidding, one pack going for $220+ as I recall and the others all fetched over $160. I was sitting by the screen cursing as I threw a bid at one pack which would have won with 30 seconds left and of all the times my laptop decides to fuck me round it had to be then. Why did I throw that much at them? personal preferences in bud and nothing more. I love sweet bud, fruity bud and if there's a kick of potency on top of the hard to come by tastes and aromas, it's icing on the cake. I'm still pestering around the Seedbay forums asking about the next drop and will probably be doing so until I get my hands on some or I'm told there ain't any more, it's that simple. I'll bargain hard to get $50 off and free delivery on a fridge purchase yet throw that $50 bucks towards a seed buy without thinking twice if the beans are hard to get or appeal to my tastes so it's all relevant to circumstance and product type. People will always throw money at something they feel an emotional attachment to and beans are my softspot I guess. Some may call me mad but I don't mind as for all I know the person doing so might spend $250 each Saturday night to watch someone take a dump as they watch from beneath a glass table, everyone has their own thing...
