Any uses for fan leaves without trichromes???

I just finished up my first indoor grow and i've got a bunch of dry fan leaves sitting around.

Are there any good uses for these fan leaves?

Or is it just garbage?

:thank you:

Yeah, if they were FRESH fan leaves rather than dry they could be used to re-hydrate over-dry bud.

I chopped them up and put them in my hookah it made it taste great! I just tried it last night a matter of fact, just don't smoke leaves that have been stored in an air tight container.

i like to make tea out of my fan leaves, but i grow organically and give an extensive flush period to make sure that my plant is as pure as possible... i have heard of people getting sick off of ganja tea that they made from fan leaves which were treated with chem ferts.

even though the fan leaves have a low thc content there are many other cannabinoids in fan leaves which are physcoactive. ive actually gotten a pretty good buzz of ganja tea in the past. it is a different kind of a buzz, its similar to a ganja brownie but not as potent.

i've used fan leaves to make a batch of pot cookies...figured what the hell, may as well try it.

a zip of leaves made me about 10 solid doses, felt like normal pot cookies. but I only do it once in a while so my tolerance was way low.

Roll a doob and test out the result. It is a harsher smoke than flowers, but will shift the mind better than none at all. I admit to smoking leaf in the past, but don't have to anymore :)

it really, really depends on the strain.

i once smoked sunleaves off a male sativa (pure) that got me pretty high.

nothing you´d pick if you had buds, but somewhat a relief on a rainy day if you know what i mean.

in my experience, plants leaning more towards sativa, tend to have more smokable leaves.

or eatable..

plants leaning more towards indica have usually much harsher leaves (often to such a degree that they are unsmokable (that sativa male was actually pretty sweet to smoke..)

maybe its the wideness of the leaves, too much green, while the sativa leaves are slim.

but even when heavily filtered by water or something, the indica leaves ive smoked , tend to not do enough to bother.

headache often accompanies such smoking..

but you cant really know till you try.

whether you got smokables, eatables, teables or mulch.

(but usually i throw away sunleaves (dont have a compost bin))

the smell of the leaves is usually a pretty good indicator of what they are, smell nice, id try smoking them or cooking.

There are LOTS of uses including :

paper making, compost, mulch, worm feed, rabbit feed, pig feed, goat feed, or making fertilizer tea.

Edit : The best example of recycling we ever saw was GrowDoc growing weed in weed ...

Why not just make some iso hash with it. Just tried it out myself with nothing but fan leaves and few undeveloped popcorn buds.

Impressed the f*ck outta me is all i can say.

I can't believe people waste so much of the plant. I've gotten high nightly for weeks at a time with nothing but fan leaves and males. One or my favorite recipes is simple cannamilk. Take the dried and cured leaves and simmer in milk for an hour or so. If the leaves come from a good strain, 2 grams make a good dose for me. Half an ounce works well with a pint of milk, so a shot glass is a strong dose.

I also use my old fan leaves to make pills. I cook a mix of finely ground bud powder with coconut oil, then use the mix to fill gelcaps. Just using bud and oil can make the pills too strong, so I adjust the potency by mixing in finely ground leaf powder. The buds are stronger, but the leaves still have lots of goodness. I've even made some strong pills with nothing but top quality leaf (C99, White Rhino) and oil.
