120w CFL Server SOG

Update:

Update:

Pics of plants this evening, one week since the last set of pics.

Mostly group shots. The 3 in the line up (pic 4) are the worst this run - all grower error. Out of those 3, 2 are badly stunted and dont look like they'll produce a great deal, a part of me wants to put them into another pc case under 24/7 so clones can be taken and ready for the next run, also I would put two more seeds in new pots in the server case to replace them and help stagger the harvest. What do you guys think?

What Ventilation and filter set up are you running? Lack of or insufficient airflow could explain why it takes so long between waterings.

xmob - yes, perpetual organic lollipops are the aim. Do you think I should pull the two stunted plants out (and put them under 24/7 for clones) and replace them with new fem seeds ? this would also help stagger the harvest. Anyone got any opinions ?

jay - airflow is perfect and temps are at 25-28c, the watering frequency is a result of the soil mix and quantity of solution at watering interval.

The new soil has been mixed (for next run) and will sit for 6 weeks until the first plants come out. Next run they will be in:

45% coir
25% black gold
30% perlite

with added bone meal + fish blood and bone + lime.

This round they are in 100% black gold - with added blood and bone meal (the miracle grow organic stuff) and a bit of lime.

Plants were fed friday gone with 2ml Maxicrop + 4 drops of Titchmarsh to 2L of water - they seem to have responded well to this.

Going to grab an oral syringe this week, probably a 3ml or 5ml of ebay so I can measure ferts more accurately.

Thanks for watching.

Hey sgap, cool.. I will definately keep my eyes open for your new thread!!

Update:

Decided to pull the two stunted plants as they look pretty poor - not really worth the space in the case for the 2gs i'll get off each. They are now under a 20w cfl on 24/7 and will become bonsai mums.

I replaced the two spaces with 2 pots of coir and perlite mix (3 coir to 1 perlite) with fresh fem beans in (DP Oasis again). Shouldnt be too long before they pop up.

So at the moment:
6 plants at 4 weeks flowering
2 plants about -1 flowering
2 pots at -4 flowering.

Its become abundantly clear that in a setup this small it is horribly inefficient to run fem beans from 12/12. They take 4 weeks or more to even show preflowers. With clones after 10 days they would be at the same stage, so clones it is. Also the clones won't stretch as much giving me better proportioned plants with tighter nodes and less bare stem.

Looking good. I am going to run Nirvana Northern Lights and Mandala #1 soon. Got the beans from GNSB. Got here fast, like about a week. I have been running bagseed (schwag) 12/12 from seed. But it's been a real pain with the stretch. I just started 6 new babies looking for a few moms to play with, start cloning. I am waiting for this ridiculous heat wave to die before I pop any of my good beans. It's getting to about 105 degrees here every day for the last 2 months which is causing my cabs run into the high 80s, sometimes even creeping into the 90s (I am in the attic, drawing air in from inside the house, but the ambient temps do cause me some headaches). But I am not doing this to win any cups, just to keep me off of the streets. Cheers mate.

Hey Tex, sorry to hear about the extreme temps - hopefully wont be too long before you can kick off your grow with the new beans.

I'll be very interested to see how the Nirvana NL differs from the fem DP Oasis (NL#2).

On a seperate note, had a nice suprise when I checked on the server case today - my 1 DP Durban Poison (std beans) turned out to be a girl!!!!! and the 2 fem Oasis beans I put down the other day are now up.

Heard nothing but good things about the Durban from DP so can't wait to see how she compares to the Oasis.

Will update with pics tommorow, thanks for watching.

Update

Hey guys

Sorry for the delay on the updates, been a hectic week.

These pics are from Tuesday, I usually take them on mondays but this week we're a day out.

I dont think I mentioned so far, but the girls in mid flower were top dressed with BoneMeal about 14 days ago, one teaspoon per pot, this was then mixed in to the topsoil. I thought that given they are going to flower for another 5-7 weeks it couldnt hurt.

Plants, especially the younger ones have already grown a few inches since these pics which is great!! I'm really making them wait for their waterings in these small pots which are quite deceptive and can look very dry when theyre not and could go another 4-5 days without.

The seedlings in the pics are in coco+perlite.

Durban Poison looks cute, interesting to see how she flowers out, so happy she turned out to be a girl (the Durbans were DP std beans) :yay:

Still getting used to growing SOG Micro but I can certainly see the potential.

Thanks for looking :thank you:

Looking great Bud - Monster. I hope to have my Pc grow up and going soon I have almost the same wattage but smaller space.. Will be great to compare to your grow

Thanks for showing an interest guys :tiphat:

Been busy with visitors etc recently so apologies for the lack of updates - will post some fresh pics up after the weekend !

Hi guys,

Sorry so long on the old update front!!

Inorder to attempt to redeem myself I have added some closeup pics to this update :dance013:

Plants are chugging along ok, still got some milage left in them, toying with hitting them up with pk 13/14 but its meant to be an organic grow so in two minds - however i do have it knocking around and could do with using it up, also the perfect time to add it. hmmmm

I dug up alot of old bits the other day - turned up quite a bit of Bio Bloom, Superthrive, some canna and bcuzz..all organics too, alaska etc + the aforementioned pk 13 14, all needs using up as its getting on so will implement it into the regime as we go..

I also dug up my old 150 pots from the most recent mini cab so going to run some old SSH and some old Kalimist F3's in there (the 150 cab) and bring it out of retirement for a bit of fun. Would really like to put them under at least a 6 but too hot for my current situation. Ill link to that grow in my signature when its moving - just waiting for beans to pop.

Enough of my ramblings, here are the pics, taken today
