Hiya FK,

I found this thread ( https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=208134 ) in the Advanced Science and Botany forum. It seems that Canna-Boost contains "triacontanol" as well as cane sugar.

That would explain the high price I guess but there are other ways to get triacontanol naturally. Alfalfa meal contains this compound for one.

more like sugar cane contains triacontanol

Bioboost is for sure more than just molasses, it has a drastic affect on the final product quality. Still... not sure it's worth the price. It does bring out the recessive qualities that we love so much. This is the difference between some standard bud, and some bud that makes folks flip out. And I've found the biocanna needs calmag and micro supplements. Much of this has to do with your water source and media choice.

As for it being "100% organic", whatevs. If you are using a high quality micronutrient supplement, ie TM-7 from BioAg, you are getting the exact same synthetic micro nutes that are in the Biocanna vega and flores.

Overall, it's overpriced, but makes killer bud. Here's a couple pics of last round, plushberry. No problems with the Biocanna on this round. I find the Biocanna works better when used to supplement a living amended soil, instead of providing all the nutrition in a soilless mix.

I ran boost on half my plants last round.. didn't see shit for the price, nor really any price. only good thing was having a ML measure in the bottle so I didn't waste as much time. no color difference ( was running all DJ strains ) and nothing really, no increase smell, no noticeable weight...... waste of time above all. only thing it might have done was "stunt" the height a minor from the other plants..

biocanna needs cal/mag as bio canna contains nil if any cal/mag. but finding cal/mag in a bottle is rare. FNB, CNS-17

don't believe any hype. it's just a fertilizer. a very expensive high quality fertilizer. I still adjust pH. I've grown in several medias using biocanna. The best results, as said earlier, have been when using biocanna to supplement a living amended organic soil.

not sure this counts as using a fertilizer fully, as amended soil doesn't show the true quality of a fertilizer if you already have fertilizer in.. your getting best results because the amendments are picking up the slack

I have found no need for adjustment when using bio-canna. yes it is acidic nutrient though, which is why I like to find something better from the start, which my replacement has been biosevia. but I'm using up my bottles of bio-canna first, and I sure don't waste time adjusting pH

I should've noted that my tap H2O is around 10.0 pH, somtimes with really high ppm.

What is FBN?

^ sorry, not sure I follow, you mean you have to pH down then?

FNB, not ( FBN ) is abbreviation for, flora nova bloom by general hydroponics, a 1 part nutrient that is highly successful being a 1 part, containing high levels of cal and Mg. yes not organic...

have fun

word, thanks for responding. i'm a noob when it comes to the chemy nutes. yes, I mean I have to pH down until I get to full strength feedings, when the nutes adjust the fertigation solution pH for me to sufficient levels.

I just switched my whole grow world upside down, as i really like the idea of growing "veganic." I have always kept it pretty simple with BOG's general methods, AN grow/bloom, FF bloom, earth juice bloom, and i added molasses beginning to end. Always had great success for the most part.

I must say, after some severe (and stupid) mishaps that left them yellowing, crispy and overwatered, my little girls are looking GREAT now after their first feeding & transplanting out of beer cups.

Switched to RO water, PH 6.8, tds 8 (from tap @ ph7.8 tds 283) (PH is 5.9 after nutes addedd)
biovega, humboldt nutes enzymes, soluble seaweed & calmag+
in coco-not soiless mix

Sour Bubble, Blue Kush, & God Bud
