happy to see cookie bro! they will explode in flowers soon im shure. maby it will show good they didnt start flowering before now due to the massive rainfalls. i think the really earlies are molding away this season

I think Gunna was correct in what he was saying about the very early start and the dark period not being long enough this past month, plants seem to be stretching again so fingers crossed.

This looks ready to explode in flowers. The change should be rapid now.

Good luck!

Claude I wish I had the beautiful weather you have been getting, it pains me to look at your beautiful hfh grow :)
The evenings are closing in quickly so no doubt things will speed up a bit.

Hopefully sept. oct. will bring good weather or i'll end up crying :)

what does hfh mean? google has no clue

my 3 biggest plants all turned male and have been chopped.

hopeful the last big one is gonna be female but still not showing.

one orange diesel turned male and fingers crossed other will be a girl

growing outdoors seems to be completely pointless where I am so it's back indoors for me.Got some BlueMoon rocks and Haze x Skunk just coming up to go with the orange diesel.Gonna be a steep learning curve

cheers CM

I should have been more specific-I meant at my personal location which is somewhat elevated and the wind never seems to cease.I frequently look down at the sunny beach a few miles away while the rain falls and the wind whips my plants into submission.Gotta laugh as I love mother nature but it's strictly indoors for me from now on ;-)

Yo Cookie monster, how are those hfh strains coming along?
I think you're spot on with your sowing times this year, and in two batches you got some backup.. 3rd & 4th week of Feb is the same time tomatoes, chili's, peppers etc are sown for a decent crop.. I sowed some royal dane in april, and got lucky with one pheno that auto'd, its about 4 weeks away from being good and finished, flowering 10 weeks already. You've been finding flowering slow too I see. At least you have a weed hedge in the garden though. Unbelievably bad growing season this year, it hasn't been over 20C for more than a week.
Late sowed 4 hfh strains in May, inc the hp you had last year, just beginning to flower now, at least I'll have some hash and a valuable lesson to sow no later than April. Trying a few cuts indoors too. I really like the way most of the males auto, even in a 2 litre pot. I'd like to try Thyphoon next year, probably guaranteed a harvest with that strain here.

Ps, Ever grown any Landrace Sativas?

Ah the ones from the first batch underwent a bit of a reveg but they are back flowering again thank god.
2nd batch are starting to flower so your fairly on track, growth was non existent in May so the late planting wont make much of a difference....sure we had flurries of snow down here in May this year.

I do love the way the males auto, perfect for guerrilla growers who dont want seed but would like to keep their options open.
Typhoon does ok over here, seen a few decent grows of it and will try it at some stage myself.

I dont think any landrace satia will finish over here, flowering periods are ridiculously long and the frost will murder them long before they are ready.

You should get some nice buds off the HP they are tough plants and able to take the light frosts we get in Sept. Oct.

Sweet, so there's still a bit of hope. Did you get much hash from the HP you chopped early last year?
I'd say an Equatorial Sativa is possible here, they're not prone to mould, but cold temperatures might slow them. It would have to be brought in and out every day or covered for 12 hours, a lot of work eh?
I'm growing inside what I cant outside, but 75% sativa is as far as I've got. I'd love to get a landrace sativa purely for the high. Ever tried something like this inside? It'd be nice to find some reasonably priced seeds.

Cool pics all, my outdoor kicked the bucket but I've still got a few plants scattered around. I have some haze in the garden that are only starting to flower now :biglaugh: Putting everything into my indoor at the moment. Roll on harvest time and please remember to post your photies in the comp thread for a chance to win some seeds! Oh btw is anyone heading to the all Ireland fleadh? Thinking about taking a jant down this evening, it's in Cavan, brilliant craic last year but I committed too many sins :D

Finishing of a jar of purple typhoon a definitely recommend it, as for landrace sats ******* can do well in canada and maybe ***** ** ***** has some thing. Ask the canadians anyway.

Well pretty much everything finished or reached a stage where they could be chopped and still yield reasonably potent buds or hash.
Plants from the first batch that started to flower in June and revegged, generally had better yields and were larger than the plants started at the normal time.

There were a couple of problems with the plants that decided to reveg.
The Danish Gold found it hard to snap back out of veg, it lingered for a good 2-3 weeks more than the HP2.
Second problem was the preflowers, they tended to die off after swelling leaving little spots on the stem vulnerable to mould, I had to pick them off and wipe the area with peroxide.
Pics are in my gallery, big bushy ones are the first batch from Feb.

I'll post a more detailed reply later on.

I'll more than likely do the same next year but use the HP2 and it's crosses.

I'm up in the north west and I'm thinking about an outdoor run next year.
I have a question though, if I put out sexually mature plants in February in a poly tunnel can I get an early crop of outdoor in? assuming its a short flowering period.
and if this doesn't work will the fact that it was so old before the equinox mean it will take much longer to flower? I know this happens with veg.

There is probably a fair chance they wont stay in flower, in Feb. we get about 10 hours of light by mid March it's up to about 12 hours and rising....thats probably enough of a difference to make them switch
Not really sure about taking longer to flower, my plants this year took 2ish months to reveg fully, by that stage it was time to flower naturally.

I can foresee a few problems with taking a mature plant out of the grow room and into the poly tunnel.

Your going to have to harden off the plant or the poor thing will just sit there in shock.
The quality of light in Feb. March is pretty poor and wont make for great buds.
In the winter months poly tunnels are condensation traps even before you put in the heater needed to keep temps ok at night if they plummet like last year.

That being said and if you have a spare plant or 2 then why not try it.
