Hi guys here some more pics of the kalishnapple tropicanna pheno .

grown using canna terra pro soil , 11 lt pots drip fed with high pressure system , run to waste .

products used are
canna terra veg and flower nutes
pk 13 14
mineral magic
parahna and trantuala the old version
canna zym
hydrozym first run with this product
canna d block
canna trace mix
canna boost excellarater

tap water e.c is 0.4 and ph is 7.4

8 600wt sodiums with pro ultra light shades , phillips bulbs
with 60 plants covering 6ft x 10 ft grow stage

the kalishnapple is made of uk pineapple which is 1980s sk1 x jamican alaska a jamican x skunk highbred found in jamaica

this is a feminised cross using a female pre 98 kali mist from serious seeds . i also made some s1 kalimist seeds at the same time .

these plants have been flowering for 71/2 weeks . they were topped once in grow and vegged for around 3 weeks .

we fluctuate the ph some days its 5.6 some 6.3
e.c goes to a max of 18 including the tap water e.c .
Plants were netted 3 times and then yoyos were used to keep the heads up .
i dont plan on giving any more seeds out . not got to many left . but the clone is out there .

she smells and tastes tropical sativa with out the columbian spice influence , sweet peach , banana , with the kalimist spice but sweeter and not so mouth drying .
shes a potent smoke to . not the best in the world but absolutly nothing wrong with this pheno , needs to be finished well or can lack body in the exhale .
the high is strong and creeps with red eye to finish , can be a little edgy for part time smokers .
makes great indian smelling bubble has and sieve .

bit of both really .strain is good for my type of growing .have a look in my old albums , most strains do well in that set up . sat hybrids do loads better .

oh and i for got to add these have been flowered on 13 hours light from the switch , the last run of shnapps was on 12 12 .

what specifics cause such large colas. A certain training techniques, a certain foliar spray,? I am blown away at the size and i am motivated to try to accomplish something similar.

well i think lots of light but also lots of air flow . i dont use co2 i prefer more fresh air , a good nutrient , i can always tell if a nutrient is good by how it handles in my room , most other nutes i have tried just dont deliver quickly enough and i get lots of fading .

also genetics . i got into making my own seeds for my grows . so you kind of end up with the bigger yielding good tasting ones this way .

an example is if we grow the suicide cheese in here we get around 4 killos if we flower the suicide cheese which is one of the uk original cuts , but on 13 hours light we get upto 5 3/4 kilos

where as sativa highbrids like the kalishnapple , agent orange , super silver haze x jack herer x northernlights spcecial we get upto 7 kilos , their are so many variables its hard to nail it all down for you mate .

one of the main things is getting every thing even , cuts the same size , lights raised all at the same time , the drip system helps um all get the same amount of nutes . change all bulbs at the same time and have even air flow over the plants so they all end up the same hight ,

good shades make a hell of a difference to .

depends on the strain but in most cases yes , this is the first time we have done it to a sativa hybrid , we have played around with the light hours on sats but only in a test enviroment ., it can come at a cost , the down sides are an extra week or so flowering time and slightly taller plants .

indicas for example often flower on 14 or 16 hours of light at some times in afghanistan . where as sats flower on 12/12 on the equator . equatoral sats flower much better below 12/12 10.5 hours knocks weeks of the finish time and makes the buds far denser for a sat

and its the opposite for indicas upto 14 hours light and watch them kushes bloom . flowering on 13 hours for cheese is fool proof way of increasing yield . they grow more buds and look more hybrid vigour

with these hours times: 10.5, 14, and 13, are these figures lights-on or lights-off?
10.5on/13.5off?
14on/10off?
13on/11off?

also, i grow about 10 strains in 1 room ranges from 80% sativa to 80% indica, from your experience, what light schedule would you recommend?

While i am at it...i grow in aeroponics with botanicare pure blend pro nutes. I also foliar feed with canna boost. Since i have started canna boost, i have noticed much fatter buds and colas.

I really appreciate you taking the time to share your skills and advice. Thanks.

yes mate 13 hours on . mainly for indica dom hybrids , this is the first time we have ran sat hybrid in the main room on 13 hours light on . i have never foliar fed boost . i tend not to spray sny thing on flowering plants after they have been inflower over 2 weeks . ill try it at the start next time , thanks for the tip

you seem to have indica and sats so i would leave it at 12 12 mate .

Nhow..I use the same MO...only i don't up the hours for indica's.
i start at 12 or 13 hours and in the 3th ot 4th week i start removing 15 min of off the timer each week of flower and in about 7 or 8 weeks i have it down to 10 + Hours
and plants do seem to flower faster in this regime...

its amazing what you can do to um mate. i am yet to try my timer that i had made it allows me to have 12 hours dark and upto 18 hours light .

i am thinking of trying 14/12 see what happens . as long as the 12 hours dark is kept they should flower like crazy . would do wonders to low yielding kush strains i would imagine .
