NL 12/12 Stretch?

I know NL #5 is at least a predominately Indinca strain, but I was wondering if anyone has had any kind of experience on how much they stretch after being flipped? I fear I've let them grow a bit too much as I only have ~8' ceiling to work with and they're already 21" without the bags, more like 25-27" with them. Any input would be much appreciated.

I dont know about NL 5 specifically but you are probably looking @ 30% to 50% more growth in flowering. Are you on tables? If so how tall? this may sound extreme but it would be fairly safe to cut several inches off the top and continue vegging for a day to let them get out of any shock. they will just split and you will buy yourself some room. It's better than burning them with the lights.

Hope this helps.

I'm not on tables, just on the ground, and if I'm only looking at 30-50% increase then I'm golden. Thanks for the tips. What exactly should I be trimming?

No need to trim anything. If she starts getting too tall, just bend that sucker over and tie her down. I bend and tie to keep the canopy at an even height. Even tall stretching Sativas are easily managed this way. They will happily grow sideways, like this girl.

If it's only 50% then that's awesome and easily manageable. I was hearing what seemed to be horror stories of them getting 2-3 times the height that they entered into flowering. That would have been a problem.

Ive grown NL several times and ive seen a couple of pheno's in it. The greener pheno stretches less than the pheno that can purple a bit. Generally though, i find it stetches about 50% or a little more. If youre around 2', theyll finish up near 4'.

That's perfect, I was worried that I was looking at a 6-7' monster on my hands. Although, I was thinking about the fat nugs I'd be pulling down. Heh, bitter sweet.
