What's new

got a new attitude with a new cab!

so my last grow had a horrific accident, so i scrapped my tiny 16inch high, and wide cab for something a little bigger.
i picked up my flower cab and mother cab at the goodwill for 2.99 each!!

the dimensions of the flower cab are HWD 24x30x15

i have decided that a 150hps would suffice in a cab this size.

little side note: i picked up the hps for 12.50. i found an ad on the trusty CL, that was advertising 8 150w HPS fixtures for $100. called the guy, and picked them up later that evening.

anyways, moving on

it utilizes 2x120mm pc fans for exhaust, 1x120mm pc fan for the 150w hps, and 2x2inch fans for blowing cool air through the plant

i also have added 1x6500k 42w cfl and 1x5000k 42w cfl, for a grand total of 232w of growing power! the temps range from 76-82.

i also added a fermentation of sugar and yeast for extra CO2, and placed the end near the fans that blow on the plants. the woman in the cab is a flowering clone from an unknown strain. it is on week 4 atm. i will state though, that i added the 150w hps 3 days ago. does it look ok?

my mother cab was picked up today. its dimensions are: 14x14x14
it uses 2x23w 5000k cfl, and 1x6500k cfl.

temps are at 81, and steady.

the cup on the left rear is a blue mystic, which has germ'd, and broke soil in a week. the cup in front of that is white widow, which has done the same thing, but a day behind(slower germ). the plant on the right rear mother is an unknown seed from a very strange person, but the strain is indica, and a tough strain at that! the clone is from the unknown strain, stated above, which i believe is blueberryxIDK. i began to flower it to sex it, and it smelled heavily of blueberries. like smelling a bucket of them!

this is both the cabs in action:

so i have finally flipped the switch for the unknown strain, so let the fun begin!!

any comments or advice is more then welcome. thanks for tuning in!

Looks good! Gotta love the goodwill. Where did you get the fans, my 150whps is running super super hot. Like max out at 113F

i got the fans from a pc recycle store in the area. since adding the 42w'ers, the temps get to 90, but i figure since i have a co2 generator, that the temp is okay for now, but i do need to get it down maybe 7 or 8 degrees

Hey e24, the co2 isnt going to help unless your cab is sealed. All you are doing is exhausting the Co2 and replacing it with fresh air from outside the cab. You might want to add some additional exhaust and make your intake passive. That will help get the temps down.

figures... well i got the temps down to a steady 82. i need a cooltube!

well its day one in flower! im excited to see what happens in the coming months!

i have a total of 21350 lumens in this baby cab, and 7362 lumens/sq. ft., utilizing 2.9 sq. ft. happy with that number, but need to get a better handle on my temps.

Question: i have found many deformed leaf sets. i have found 2, 4, and 6 leaf leaf sets scattered about the plant, mainly near the bottom. is this a sign? of what?

Day 3 flower; some stretch. Did some LST'ing:

well no pic tonight(should be in bed, have to get up at 5am!!!!!).

i will say though that my baby is closingin on a 1.5" gap from the hps! need these other plants in the cab gone. BUT i will say that it has helped me learn more about my unknown strain:

cons:

1. i still have un-uniform leaf sets(even leaf sets: 2, 4, 6, instead of 3, 5, 7, 9):yoinks:

pros:

1. tons of stretch in first two weeks. at least twice the size
2. it takes very well to lst. :):smoker:

smart pots will be used next round, and that will help bring pot size down in height, and give a better growing environment. the nutes are doing a fine job, although i havent used nutes in my life, so i have nothing to go off of.

Thanks to all who have posted, and to the lurkers waiting for bud porn:wave::watchplant::joint: :smokey:
