400 watt club...

ive got a 4x4 cab. i alternate between 400MH and then 400HPS to fisnish the plants off under.

how many plants can i fit under a 400 and get optimal results in you guys opinion? i wanted to go with 24x1gl grow bags instead of the 16x3gl grow bags i normally grow with/in.

think im gonna try the advice i read and do a soiless *(premier/perilite/garden lime) medium with GH 3part series as the nute regimen.

what do you guys think?

*there is a lil blood/bonemeal in the mix but not enough to make a difference

A friend of mine recently gave me his 400W hps. I'm a micro-grower, so im not exp with HID growing but i wanna put this baby to use. I have a space to use it in but i dont wanna start another grow without knowing its gonna produce what i need. So here my question for those of you with years of 400w experience:

Can a 400w produce a pound or so every cycle from a space like what is pictured without a high plant count? Dimensions are 42"w x 36"d x 75"h tapering to 38"h. I will be using K.I.S.S. method in coco or going organic with LC's#1 soiless mix supplemented with brewed nute teas. I've had good sucess with both in the past and already own most of what is needed for either. I'm thinking maybe bare bulb vertical setup? Am i dreaming here?

1lb would be a hell of an achievement. though its been done.

10-12oz for a good grower under a 400w is what i'd expect.

Yea its very doable but id say it would prolly take a few runs an getting everything dialed in. If my math is correct you are trying to achieve 1.14 grams per watt... very doable

hey everyone heres my 400w hps bloom room, 5 gal pots FFHF although the middle 2 are FFOF,

the last plant i harvested i got 60 grams dried is that a good yield for my set up? i think that ive heard that 1oz/1gal soil is a good mark to be and also think i read 1g/1w but i think that assumes that im doing a sog and harvesting all at once, more pics coming!
