Help! <<High quality pictures included>> Shrunken new growth in Recirc DWC

Hello! I am in need of some advice, first off I'm running an Undercurrent recirculating DWC system, with Dutch Master Gold nutes. PPM is at 700, PH is at 5.7.
The plants are 21 days old, and thriving, except 2 of the 12 started showing shriveled new growth, I couldnt have been going on for more thant 5-6 days.

Pics of what I'm talking about:

From a glance they look perfectly healthy, but under close inspection you can see the problem:

I run a water chiller, and the roots are glistening white. The only thing I'm wondering about is that some nutrients bubble up over the edge of the bucket, then evaporate then more nutrients bubble up and evaporate and so on, it forms a crust of nutrients around the edge.

Like this:

Some of the fan leaves were resting in that crusty nutrient muck, I was thinking maybe it absorbed a bunch of the concentrated evaporated nutrient stuff, and it locked up something important, can that even happen?

Here are pics of the fan leaf that was in the nutrient crust and the piece of plastic I put to prevent further absorption:

What should I do? I'm so fucked, should I put them in separate buckets with diluted nutrients? no nutrients? or what.

PLEASE! HELP IF YOU CAN!

Every 6-9 days would be ideal. 3-4 weeks without a nute change/sterilization is an accident waiting to happen in my book. Not sure if this is what is causing your problem though.

I would clean out EVERYTHING, sterilize with h2o2 to get rid of any pests that might be lurking under your radar as well as salt buildups, then refill your system but with 1/2 strength nutes than what you're used to... this should allow you to better isolate the problem (if it continues)

testing 2 times a day for PH? are you also adjusting 2 times a day?

Nope just checking the PH, not adjusting lol

doing a rez change every 6-9 days would be insane, I've known people to never change the reservoir the whole way through! I thought that was insane, I've heard 10-14 days, but with recirc dwc I've heard you can go longer, but either way I'm doing a rez change tonight, and I'm going to flush the 2 problematic plants with florakleen and then they'll have a fresh nutrient bath to soak in after that.

Hi SmokeDoja. If you were growing from clone then I'd see a major concern but when growing from seed each plant is different. Some may not like your settings as in pH EC and so forth while others may thrive. IMO you are not bad at all. Changes in pH EC will cause all your plants to adjust so for the simplest solution raise your hood bout 12" for a week. It'll release some stress and the others may like the break as well. May surprise you. Good luck. Try keeping your rH above 50 as well. It'll help build more quality in the foliage.

Other than that you're doing a bang up job!!

Edit: I'm very sorry. I didn't see top 4 pictures!!!!!!!

Ph problems

do yourself a favor,
visit a fish store, get one of those liquid droplets to test PH for fish
since fish need a more stable Ph and environment then plants, this
would really help you solve the problems

Check your ph with you pens and double check again with the
liquid to make sure you PH pen is calibrated correctly.

Now what would be best is flush those ladies, start a new nute
programs at very low dose. make sure they are healthy again
before you add any other additives.

hope this help

cheers,
