hey all- my recent grow turned up a super lemon haze that is so big and lemony and sticky that i decided to reveg so i could take a couple of clones and make a bonsai mother. i'm at about 2.5 wks, using 18/6(today i changed to 20/4) under a 400w mh. my ec is 1.1 using ionic grow. the girl looks nice and green with sl tip burn but no new shoots. how long before i should see new growth?? any other suggestions??

Hi Jammie. She looks fantastic!! Just as Mad Librettist stated and also expect the new growth to look deformed initially. You'll start back with single blade leaves then 3, then 5 and so forth. Some parts of the plant may appear to be revegging faster than other parts but it's all hormones. Good luck I'd give her a month before she's sweet again. Under 24/0 that is!.

thanks guys. i'll bump it up to 24/0 and add a touch more bioweed(seaweed/kelp) to the bucket.

Typically the larger the plant is the longer it takes to reveg. Everybody here will say I am crazy but when I run into your situation, instead of revegging the whole plant, i cut a couple clones off (yes even now when the plant is done flowering) and throw them in the cloner. They usually sit there stupid like for a little longer than it takes to root a regular clone, but they root, and then I throw them in the bucket under 20/4 or whatever and they start popping shoots. Deformed at first but they get normal again. IME that has been quicker than trying to revegg a whole plant. Either way, just keep that plant under veg lighting and eventually it will start shooting. Good luck.

Is she in the same pot & soil you flowered her in ? i found i have better luck if i cut the rootball down to about the size of my fist then transplant her into new soil . sorta like they do with the bonzi moms . has worked better & faster for me that way.

oops ... just realized its DWC . nevermind :(

hey there superusa and dansbuds- thanks for stopping by. i thought about taking clones but the only branches that didn't have massive buds were those small stubby ones that are in the pic above. i thought i would have better success revegging for a couple months then taking clones from the new growth. i only do 1 grow a year for personal use so i'm not in any hurry.

my next question is- can i keep a bonzi mother plant in veg under a 150ish cfl for 6-8 months til i'm ready for next years grow???

i Know old thread... But..
Yes you can keep a bonsai mom under that wattage.
My bonsais are under 60 watt cfls, and had em for a year so far

Yeah...you would be better off cutting the clones off of her...and revegging them. You could be looking at 2 months before you start seeing something worth while.

Cheers
