Just a little too much IMO. Try holdin the stem in your left(?) hand. use the point off your sissors to 'nip' just the leaf stem. Save your trim of course! cuase those look Frosty..
Nice job..

Ya trim & trim and the buds get smaller & smaller.

The procedure my trimmer's swear by is wet scissors. Have a cereal bowl of water by the scissor hand and never let the scissors touch the plant dry. Nothing tries to stick to the scissors, no scissor hash, frostier buds. Now keep dipping the holding hand. No finger hash either if the fingers are continuously wet, it all stays on the bud and fingers stay soft and clean.
The surface water drips right off the bud and the ease of trimming makes it less of a chore. And those little hash leaves pop right out cleanly, if you're of a mind to save them.

As to trim level, I have some who request rough trim, they collect the hash leaves themselves. Others like buds damp with only fan leaves removed, swear by their own cure.
I see 'cut to shape' bud on the street, the stem with the inside half of the leaves still in there. I go WTF? but others tell me this is accepted.

What I smoke I trim my way, otherwise my servant's heart trims as others' wish.
I like no stemmed leaves at all, nipped off at the very base. :kitty:

I thought you said you trimmed it already...??..hehe

Everyone is different. I prefer my buds to be trimmed to perfection, 9 times out of 10 I will trim up buds i buy cause they are never how I like them. The leaves are to harsh for me. But are perfect for hash

Trimming , for non-commercial growers, it´s a matter of personal taste.
I know a few old school growers that only pull out the big fan leaves. All the frosty leaves are left intact to dry/smoke.
I would leave it this way this once and next time i would try more/less trimming and see what i thought about it.
There´s no secret formula in any of the bits involved in growing, processing and smoking cannabis, you just need to find your way to do it.
All the best

I'd tend to agree with trying to nip the leaves right at the stem. Nice pointy D-handle fiskars are perfect for this. Mofo tips be sharp. Just takes one plant to figure out how much pressue to push in with before the snip action so as to not take any flower with the leaf.

That being said I do a combination of nipping every leaf and "cut to shape" depending

edit: mineral oil light coat on scissor blades keeps them clear when you are finally sick of sticky scissors or I guess olive oil would be better than a petroleum product.
