When I open the jar it's like cutting an onion!

Well not really that bad...

I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this before... I just harvested a few plants, and been in jars for a week now. One in particular is amazing! It is a bagseed plant and when I open the jars, there is a slight "onion" effect to the eyes. Not painful, more subtle, like menthol cooling effect. Very strange, the buds smell like ripe fruit and flower perfume, not like onions. Plants were fed PBP and roots organics in flower, and were even flushed. Burns white after 1 week in jars.

Anyone ever experience this with mj?

haha no Brother, I would feel sorry for anyone who does! I stored some bud in a spaghetti sauce jar once. Thought it was clean, but later had pizza nugs..

Haven't seen anything that makes me cry yet, but a particular cut of blueberry gives me horrible headaches when trimming it. It's got a very astrigent berry fuelish smell and after a while it makes my head feel like it's being put in a press.

hmmmmmmm Vado thats interesting cause certain phenos of BB give me a migrane if I smoke them.....And some strains really affect my sinus while trimming......DQ for 1.....

What is weird is that the bud smells dank as hell, ripe fruit/mango and floral perfumes. But doesn't make me "cry" more a cool menthol type feel. If it were more intense it would probably cause some teary eyes. She smokes like a champ, and should get more taste as time goes on. I'll snap some pics later

BOG's LSD burned my eyes and made me cry when trimming. Not really like cutting an onion, more like being sprayed with a mild, acrid, diesel funk mace. It would make you gag.
Only had that effect when I used Floranova, when I switched to PBP it lost it.

I got a similar fragrance from my last run of mandala's hashberry, the hashy/spicy flavor was really apparent when I opened the jar.

Sticking my nose in there for too long was almost sickening. Like smelling glue or something.

sometimes fresh frosty nugs make my eyes water and my nose run, usually during trim, but also while off-gassing during the cure.

I have a Trainwreck x Blue Moonshine that smells exactly like parmesan cheese and garlic. I call it Alfredo. When I first opened the jar, I thought I had put it in a dirty food jar by accident. Great weed..

food weed is funny, i grew a burmese cross that smelled like freshly grated ginger and BBQ sauce.
