Can-Lite Filters? Are these small filters the truth?

Hey,

I stopped in my local hydro store today and they had a few new can filters on the floor called Can-Lite filters. They are a lot smaller and lighter then the normal can filters.

Are these things the truth?

The recommended filter to pair with my MAX 14" and replace my enormous Can Filter 150 is only 40" x 18" and only weighs 68 lbs.

Can I really count on this small filter to keep me 100% odor free? It be nice to never have to haul another 160lb/60" tall Can 150 into my house again.

Here are the specs for the other models...

what'd ya think?

I just dont know if I trust em... if the density and carbon weight just isnt there how effective are they going to be at eliminating odor...

Light filters mean, light duty. I just purchased a Phresh filter that is quite a bit lighter and easier to hang than a can fan but, after a couple cycles it seems to be losing it's effectiveness. I'm going back to the old can fan filters that last a year +. I haven't heard of these filters, would love to hear anyone else's opinions on em. These are one of our main sources of security, hard to sleep at night with subpar equipment.

Good luck, Peace

They use a thinner bed, but it isn't the standard pellets they use in the standard Cans... it is supposed to be that Australian stuff, kinda like the Mountain Air. Supposed to be able to get the same odor removal.

But change em out every year jic. And don't max out the cfms either.
