I've seen some weird shit out there man...no green kangaroo mice, but pretty strange shit. In late Fall/Winter I was scoping out spots and either saw a werewolf or a moose. Hear a lot of strange things - twigs breaking and nobody there. Lot of rabbits have caught me off guard.
Going out to your site is a real experience...requiring planning ahead and being prepared. Once you're at your garden is when instinct takes ahold...you think you're going to hear "there! over there! there he is!" or "freeze!" and you have to put that in the back of your mind and do what you came there to do as fast as fkn humanly possible - frantically digging holes with your hands, emptying a few jugs of water faster than ass. Then when you make the turn around to walk out of there..."oh no I have empty jugs in my bag, just say you were thirsty."
