Flush with straight tap water?

me and my lil bro sat down today lit up a few and got to thinking...to flush with straight tap water to sterilize the medium...we were thinking of doing so after a week of carb flush then the last week tap water what yall think? i know some say dont flush some say flush but just curious about this particular way...:moon:

in life you get a filter or you become a filter, i bet u drink tap water youself n shower in it, just give your plant tap, if u have a ppm pen even better.

I've seen good results, my buddy made a fork type device out of a 3 way t-shaped pipe joint, 2 90 degree elbows and some plastic tubing. It attaches to the tub faucet and goes around the plant, just above the top of the pot. The fork pieces are like 10 inches with a ton of tiny little holes in them after about 4 inches tho diffuse and aerate the water.

My friend who uses this thing pretty much always feeds his plants right away after a flush when the medium is nice and clean.

Why would sum one tell you don't flush???

Always flush your plants for atleast 2-3 weeks depending on strain, thats if you want decent tasting buds that dont burn your throat:)

ill try to find the thread some say it just stresses your plant out and you could be getting a better yield but thats besides the point and @ iwannatokenbone lol i actually hate water im just wondering if there is a reason to use r/o or tap or just de chlorinated water as of right now i just use filter de chlorinated water for last week after a carb flush for a week

I always make sure to flush for about two weeks in soil. I use tap water, but my supply is from a well, not city water. Depending on where you're at, the local tap water can either be really pure or really not.

the other day my buddy smoked me on a unflushed plant. It was the smoothest smoke ive ever smoked.
good day

Never had a bad experience with properly flushed flowers, tons though with salt-laden unflushed buds. Just my experience...

Flushing is proportional to your feeding schedule. If you run 1200-1500ppms of nutes, in media, to the end, there will be a nute buildup (concentration), somewhere down there in the pot, flushing is more of a necessity. but if you run 600-700ppms throughout the grow, that build up is less and is not an issue, IMO, no flush is necessary. I've runn DWC at 1200ppms and just added straight RO for the last 2 weks of top offs, running the PPMs down to whatever. Never had an issue of black ash (although I havent 'smoked' it in quite some time, vaporize) or harshness, either way.

i use tap water but my tap is only 20-30 ppm

i run the tap through a de-chlorination filter to get the chlorine out. Just my style.
