North Carolina?

Anybody been busted there? What are some realistic guidelines for first time offenders? Are my 4K watts getting me probation or prison?


Some friend offered my dumbass way more money than I'm worth to go work for him there. Totally out of the blue. I'm stuck hard in terms of what to do. Norml.org sentencing guidelines are useless in practical application. I'm hoping somebody here can give me some real world information. Specifically along the coast..

I doubt 4,000 watts would get you probation anywhere in the south east. But I am like you, I wish there was some practical way to assess REAL outcomes of cases -vs- what NORML tells you. If anyone knows ...

getting busted in with a 4 lighter NC will win you 3-5 felonies on your permanent record. and 2-3 years probation. and a tax stamp bill between 10k and 90k depending on when they bust you in your cycle and how much the plants weigh. pretty much fucked...

My buddy was beaned in NC with 2k and now when he goes to sleep all he can hear is cups banging on steel bars...2k, 25 plants.They smoked him.Poor guy was just a soft handed pup but he wanted to surf around the world.I remember a friend being busted in Hatteras on an awesome surf trip, they extorted his family for about 2 grand for 1/8 oz. Don't move there if you want to grow.I love Hatteras too, but they hate weed down there, big time.I always brought brownies on those trips!! This friend was a fisherman out of Rodanthe and Ocrakoke(sp?), he was out fishing tuna and they busted his trailer from a light leak, rat nieghbor etc.

Conspiracy charges would be Federal, that does not sound like a wise plan to me. Unless you trust this person with your life and would let him sleep in a hotel room with your wife I would really think carefully about getting involved in something such as this. I do know someone who was busted with a few plants in NC by the way, it was a small personal grow and he got probation. Be safe

It's not unlike other states. Large cities ain't as bad as conservative, rural counties and small towns. But a 4k grow in a non-med state has it's risks no matter where you happen to be.

I know one grower who was popped with one outdoor plant. He ended up getting probation but was dragged through several court appearances. I know another guy who was popped with 30 plants in a hole under his house. Rich daddy kept him from prison but prolly spent tens of thousands.

Most conservative legislature since the Civil War, wouldn't be surprised if local jurisdictions are more conservative than typical.
