fem seeds questions

don't claim to know a thing really about breeding good marijuana, but i've run into a situation and that may be exactly what has to happen....

ok, i have a sour diesel clone growing that has made the long trip to mexico from ny, obviously i'd like to keep this strain however at the end of the year ill be traveling again for awhile and won't be able to keep a clone.... i've read some threads and it seems i can make female seeds by way of letting it flower until it makes pollen with which i will pollinate another flowering clone.. great

now my questions:

1.will the seeds produced be an EXACT genetic duplicate to the original plant?

2.will there be more of a tendency of going hermie?

3.and since i don't know anything my last question is what am i missing? what questions hasn't been asked?

thanks

Well it is quite easy with that colloidal silver thing http://growweedeasy.com/how-to-make-your-own-feminized-marijuana%20seeds
but I am not sure if you should make seeds with only one plant(which it would be with clones from the same plant).
Well in case it works they must be a genetic ducplicate.
but making children with only one wife seems to be.....against nature? ^^ which it is in any case... so what. try it !

i have no other options.. i would much rather make normal seeds and like you said go with nature..to be honest im not really into clones i like growing from seed much more...but nothing i can do about that... either i try and make female seeds or lose the strain

High man, i'd post a link if I could but you should do a search for PhenoMenal and check out his excellent thread on making femmed seeds using the coloidal silver method, a much more reliable way to go.

The method you describe is called Rhodilization and is unreliable and stressful to the plants.

Anyway, coloidal silver works well and is also a very simple process.

would i be wrong to consider female seeds made from 2 clones off the same mother to be clones in seeds form?

No man, you wouldn't be wrong, done properly femmed beans are as close to clones in seed form as you can get.

Go read PhenoMenal's thread, I promise you you will be glad you did.

ok let me go check out his thread....don't know where in mexico i would get the silver stuff...no way to get it delivered where i am... anyway another idea i had was...i have 4 original haze seeds leftover from a few years ago maybe just make a haze x sour cross..... but either way i want to save this strain,,,thanks

1. no
2. not with CS
3. i dunno.

the sourd isn't liking the rainy climate down here and since i can only grow outside i may just go ahead and make the haze cross...really glad to have learned how to make CS and how easy the process is of making female seeds...thanks for all the help
