MCK2k2, I recommend reading at least a couple hours a day and ask any question no matter how stupid you think it is. You just might be 3/4's ready to harvest and a simple little matter might save your whole harvest. One of the first tips I got was my plants were getting almost 2 feet tall then started to look slightly yellow. I was told to put 1 tablespoon of Epsom salts to 1 gallon of water and mix well. Root feed it and 2 days later my plants were healthy green. Don't ask me why I just know it works. But yellow can also be spider mites!!!!Get a good magnifying glass or a jewelers loupe and look on the bottom. There is a product called neem oil you can get at Lowes and other places. You can make a home made one out of menthol cigs. put 3 or 4 just the tobacco in water and boil then simmer. You can add fine crushed cayene pepper. Now don't use this shit if you are budding only during you veg stage. I believe neem is safe up to 2 weeks before harvest. Goodluck.

The very 1st time I grew the place I did that @ they did not even know what pot plants look like.
The internet did not exist yet, neither.
That's how I got away with 2 plants growing taller than the two story house I did that next to.
Did that in 50% native soil and 50% uncured horse shit.
Even though I now have no other choice than doing the indoor thing I still keep it as simple as possible.
The more complex your grow is the more can (and will) go wrong.

if you are new to the game.
keep on growing and reading, there is no magic ingredient.
if you have grown many times before.
then its definetly strain.
when you go strain hunting, you will sacrifice yield for potency and potency for yield.
that is, the biggest budproviders will never give you as potent buds.
now, i dont have the greatest strain experience, but f.e growing out papaya next to big budxnorthern lights, the nlxbigbud had 4 times the budsize while still being a smaller plant (less veg time)
papaya being a rather average budsize plant, though small in stature.
the smoke from the papaya was quite a bit stronger,1 hit quit smoke vs 2 hit quit smoke, though the yield on the nlxbb wouldave made up for it, commercially.
i´d suggest trying out some bigbud strains.
