Hey all,

Seems like another quiet summer here. Folks off doing their own things and hopefully enjoying the outdoors. As for me, nothing in the box or outdoors right now. I decided to spend as much time as I could out on the water or at least sitting near it. Was lucky and picked up a crew spot for a 12 day run down the east coast and around the keys. Super folks that really made it easy for me with my reduced mobility, and some excellent herb to keep us all on an even keel. I remember years ago spending long nights before sailing trips plotting my course out on the charts, and then once underway marking progress and making corrections. Now....we had three crew members and a family of five for a total of eight. Every one of them, even the 9 year old daughter had a cellphone with GPS Navigation on it. So much of our romance with the sea has been stripped from us.

Best to all, Pipedream

Lol, did they tweak your sextant readings, PD?:) Hope y'all had a good time.

Here's what the heat and humidity are doing to my current project. I think I'll get some buds but it looks a bit uncomfortable. Day 57:

Disco, hope you get your bud. I'm keeping summerbreak just because it's too hot and humid for even 150w. Other things keeping me busy too :)

Hey, unthing.:) 20 years ago I'd be out in this heat and humidity. Now I'm just an old fart trying to grow weed when I probably shouldn't, lol. Just hoping for mold/rot-free buds.:D

Hope everybody's having a nice summer.

DB, I'm not sure why exactly, but supposedly perlite is thee medium for high temps. Seen you dabble with perlite before so maybe something worth trying out next summer.

I'm finally starting to get some growing going again, but it won't be with a 150w. I would have given up trying to grow if I had never seen this thread. Just wanted to stop in and say thanks again to everyone who has contributed to this great thread. So good to see familiar users still sharing what they're doing and what they know with others who need it most. Much love everyone.

Hey, catman. Thanks for the tip. I've got another round coming up ~Aug 9th. Might have to consider the perlite, the heat and humidity is still pretty high.:)

Not sure. Double the lights-on vs ambient temp increase. Your actual may vary. If you add the glass you'll have to vent both areas. You may have to add intake to the lamp area and exhaust fan(s) to the grow area.

I like your sig, lol.

i have the fans to do it, the tough thing is finding the right piece of glass to fit just so. there used to be a pull out drawer there, but i removed it, and made it a dummy. now there is that lip, but to get that glass to fit right, ill have to remove the entire top, and have a custom piece of glass cut to fit extremely snug with the walls

A piece of picture-frame glass wouldn't block as much light as other types. You can always fill the gap with caulking or weather stripping.
