What's the trippiest strain you've smoked?

Mexican bagseed I grew out myself that was obviously a pure sativa and had me tripping balls nearly out of body experience type buzz and not like any of the modern strains it's a whole different kind of high almost like a different drug. Find some good old school mexican herb and grow them outdoors under the sunlight so they develop ample THC-V and you will get right where you want to be at brother. That is where the trippy component comes from in some strains from the research I have done, you want strains rich in THC-V

Malawi Gold is a great place to look as many African strains are very trippy. Nigerian, Durban, African Sativa's ect.

Cindy 99 can also be very trippy when harvested with clear trichs but with that comes some racy paranoia & that typical rushing anxiety that some people can't manage well. I don't like it myself and if I smoke cindy it's always fully done and amber fully cured which mellows it out alot.

Freshly dried buds with all clear trichs is where the highest levels of THC & mind bending potency are to be found, once plants start going amber the THC levels are decreasing. Once buds are properly cured out the buzz normally mellows out as well and is less intense in my experience.

So Sweet Tooth definitely does not fit this bill though sorry guys I can't recommend it for being trippy but I will look for other threads though so don't worry!

There are many strains I could list off. But one of the ones that stuck with me a lot was Trainwreck, as well as other Colombian genetics. They have a lay down, close your eyes let your ideas and mind brainstorm, with minor closed eye visuals (increased depending on how low your tolerance is)

Of Course the Original ECSD cut. It gives you an incredible 3 hour high, where you walk back inside and the walls are pulsing around you. You can also lay back and have a mental journey like on a small dose of mushrooms. Absolutely incredible genetics. Oh did I mention the taste of Original Sour Diesel, beyond astonishing.

Maybe all of us with good quality mexican & columbian brickweed bagseed laying around should send them into the bay for some outdoor growers to explore and choose some standouts from to make more seed with? Just an idea. They could take all the donations and mix them together into a bagseed bonanza from all the donators

I do plan on growing some of mine out but would not be able to get to them right away and if they were grown outside here I am almost certain they would get wind pollinated by all the other local grows going on so I might have to get a greenhouse going or something I would not want to contaminate them from unknown pollen I am pretty strict about those kind of things I like to know what is what.

That is a GREAT idea! So many of these baggies filled with the seed from buds back in the early days when it was coming from the holy grail zones....just sitting in the sock drawers of old hippies, likely never to see the light of day again, tossed into the trash by some caregiver when the hippy gets old and start drooling onto their bibs.

SOTF, you talk to Gypsy. You should make a suggestion to him to put the call out. Might have to enlist we IC Mag'ers to ask our older friends who were buying the weed back then, if we want to find most of the seeds that are out there.

Only think I would want to see happen is that these seeds go to those who request them, I have no place to grow outdoors and don't know anybody who does, so they would be wasted on me. I wouldn't want to take a chance on growing in a small tent when you space is of the essence, no space to waste on an unknown quantity.

But that is a great freakin idea.

It IS a great idea. But I'd be worried about germination/viability. But hey,if the price is right or they go as freebies for those who want them, and you get a decent amount of beans to make up for a large percentage being duds....Damn,it could be a treasure trove of old school genetics.

Might be better to set up a kind of Mexican Sativa Hunters club. This way the distribution of the remaining seeds could be controlled among the members and the results recorded so that particular phenotypes can be shared. I'm already on the line for some Herijuana IBL and Alien Dawg x Alien OG testers from Ocean Grown Genetics, but if things fall into place I will be in a position next summer to help out with this.

I am already planning on picking up a bunch of trippy strains anyway. JtR, Durban, Willie, Blueberry, Columbian gold, maybe a few others. Although I doubt I'm going to need anybody else's brick weed seeds. I have enough old head contacts down in Santa Cruz to make that happen. I'm down to stick around and see how this hunt for the Trippy Mexican Sativa turns out. Do what I can to find something myself to share

some sort of Jamaican in Upstate New York State in the summer of 1972. it was brought up to Binghamton from New York City. it had a cerebral high and gave intense hallucinations like a good dose of LSD when your eyes were closed. i would fall asleep hallucinating and wake up hallucinating. unfortunately i cannot obtain seeds.

Same timeframe in GA we got this "Jamaican trip weed" that I recall fondly. I've seen lightweights flip out on it if you messed with them enough. It was seeded and very dark green. Years later late 70s there was some Jamaican sinsemilla around that was like that stuff - on turbo. When you took your first hit you could feel it coming up from your toes. Rollercoaster high. There were a few seeds in it, we grew it OD, and it hermied like nobody's business, seed city. Don't have any of the seeds anymore, in those days I trashed anything that hermied even slightly.

The Most trippy I have ever smoked. After 4 or more blasts on the health stone I laughed so hard and long, I honestly thought I ruptured an organ in my stomach. Havent laughed like that sense I tripped when I was younger. Before the laughing spell after 2 hits you(or atleast I) zone out REALLY hard, to the point of hallucination. Doesnt take long to build up a tolerance though.
