Ganja D's Outdoor 2011

Ganja D

the garden is looking beautiful ganja! absolutely loving all the variety in your garden, and i cant wait to see end of the year photos :joint:

i was wondering if you have been having any problems with preflowering funk going on? so far i havnt added supplimental lighting and some strains are preflowering while others are vegging strong, was curious how things are going your way...

anyways all the best going out to you and yours, take care

Nice to see you in the thread Dimebag. As far as preflowering,I did have some issues with a few plants that were planted from seed over the winter in Feb,then planted outside in April. I had to pull a few but it was done in the spring and replaced with strong clones.

The only other issue I've had is with my Mr.Nice, the plant just wants to flower. I'll just have to see what happens with it.

Peace.

GD, just stopping by to wish you well.

I'm glad you're feeling better, now I can admit that I had a hilarious image in mind when you described being out in the garden, shaking your fist at the sky and yelling at the wind!

Today looks like a nice day, enjoy it.

Looking Great GD. I've been debating on whether or not to pick up a pack of both the OGer99 and the killer queen Redux from DG...needless to say your pics have pretty much made my decision much easier for me.

Also I came across this not too long ago: http://www.aurorainnovations.org/formula_707.html

I wanted to get your opinion on the ^^above...not only on the quality of the ingredients, but the fact that an Oregon based company is (obviously) using the 707 area code as a marketing ploy. It seems like it's a decent mix, and I have had good results with their regular organic soil...is the 707 mix similar to what people are using around your way?

A good friend of mine lives around your way...I'll be moving there in mid August to lend a helping hand. Mabey we'll get to smoke a fatty spliff one of these days.

Prince - I hope GanjaD doesn't mind but I can field that question. I use nothing put Roots Organics in my base mix. The 707 formula is a very balanced bag of soil, however it is low in nutrients. If you like to control the nutes by hand feeding then this bag is for you. If you want more nutes then you should go with the green bag or even more nutes with Green Fields bag. All Roots Organics bags are amazing, and I would recommend them to anybody asking, as this case proves, :).

Also, the 707 is suppose to hold more water, but I found the difference to be minimal.

Yea my friend and I have had good results with just the Roots Organics for indoor, and I've heard pretty good things about them as a company in general. I wouldn't mind having to feed more with the 707, but it sounds like the Green Fields bag would be the way to go. I'm just not well versed in creating a "custom super soil mix" like Ganja D's so that's why I'm looking for something like the 707 or Green Fields. It's really just the ratios of all the ingredients that trips me up...when I look at the mix GanjaD listed, most if not all those items I could acquire, (minus the products that were exclusive to Dazey's) but I would have no idea on the proper ratios. Must... do... more... research... :bashhead:

On a side note, I checked the 5day forcast for your area GanjaD, it looks like high 80's to low 90's with clear skys and LOTS of sun. a few am clouds but nothing crazy. Hope everything is going smooth.

I'll second that!

Hey Ganja D, what's your plan come flower to make sure you're getting full potential of the summer's work?

Are you just gonna do teas and top dresses? If so, mind sharing what you will be using? How late do you consider the cutoff point for sprays like brix-mix?

Much respect man, can't wait to see how your girls have responded the the proper weather!

edit: btw - how's the mr. nice on the preflower going? I have a plant that already has buds forming, well past preflower... curious to see how your 'sitch is lookn.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I never got a new camera charger or a new camera,I'll borrow one.
In answer to your questions,I will continue topdressing every 3 weeks or so until early to mid September. I'll be using teas brewed until flush. I will also be feeding with 300 gallon tanks mixed with age old grow/bloom,fish hydroslayte(probably wrong spelling),AN Carbo Load/Bud Candy, and a few other things here and there.

I will probably use the brix mix spray until late August or early Sept on everything except the Mr.Nice. Indoors I foliar feed until the end of week 5 with most strains. And yes,the Mr.Nice are going for it and are completely flowering. I just finished a round of it indoors and although it looks and smells nice I don't enjoy smoking it and will never grow it again. Not my cup of tea.

Some one asked about the Sensi Durban? I have a hunch they were feminized even though I didn't order the fem version. I had a pile of plants in an area put aside to give away and a friend of mine accidentally gave them all to someone I don't even know while I wasn't home even though they were not in the give away area. There was one put aside because it may be male that I still have. If it's a boy I'll make a bunch of crosses. So,bummer but at least somebody will enjoy them. My hunt for the perfect Durban Poison is not over.
Overall thing here are great, one setback has been the amount of time and energy it's taking to support the plants, next year some changes will be made.

Pics soon,for reals.:tiphat:

if the mr. nice is flowering wont that mean it will be some early finish in late september....might be kinda convenient to pull some LBs in before the flood hits....

Hope alls good up your way D and things are cranking for you. Yeah I hear you on the Nice. It's definitely the Blue Dream of this year. Sooo many people cropping it and it does look and smell nice but it doesn't really have anything special about it. It's a growers delight but there's gonna be some walls put up on that strain this year, that's for damn sure. Looking forward to the next update man.
