BEST CABINET STRAINS?!?

Recently, I had a back operation and recovery took a few days longer than I planned. By the time I got home to check my cab, 4 days with no water, they were all dead. I had nobody to go and water them for me.:comfort:
Anyhow, too bad, so sad, oh well lets have a fresh start!
I want some input on best tried and tested cabinet strains. Meaning, best small space, heat resistant, low Rh resistant, etc. The strains that yeilded best under such conditions, grew most vigorous in a crowded SOG, etc. I have a brand new cab that wants to get filled to the brim but need some help deciding on a strain or strains to work with.

Peace.:tiphat:

I second WW,

It is my new go-to strain, great potency, look and decent yield.

It takes a lot of LST and topping as well and is not too hard on the nutes.

Check out this shot of my first time growing WW under a 250w CFL-

A few of the things you mentioned are issues with your grow space, not things the plant should have to deal with. Regardless of space you should be keeping the temps and humidity within range. It sounds like you are looking for us to tell you the perfect strain to work in your grow right out of the gate and unfortunately that is just not how it works. For starters we don't know what kind of grow/style/space/lights/ventilation you are using so its very hard to recommend. Some strains vary wildly, while a particular strain might flourish in hydro it might not do so well in soil for instance.

With that said you should be looking at some indica's or more indica leaning hybrids I am thinking. Most indica's are going to grow a lot more tight and squat, good for SOG especially if you just want to get a lot of single cola plants going(ala Dr.Bud style). Northern Lights or AK48 come to mind, both are very hearty and very easy to grow, good yields and good smoke. Also look into some of the different Kush's, there are too many to even begin mentioning. What I suggest is just buying some seeds of something popular, easy to grow, good yielding and working with that. Once you actually grow out some mothers, take some clones and flower them out you will see which phenos/plants work the best in your grow. Once you figure that out its all about keeping that mother healthy, taking nice clones and dialing your system in to get the best results you can. After you start getting the results you want then I would start experimenting with other strains, find another one that works just as well(will be easier at this point as you will know what to look for and what you need for a particular pheno/strain to work well in your grow).

Nope- Not looking for you to tell me the perfect strain right out of the gate. Just suggestions for a strain. Some strains need more room to stretch than others. My RH and temps are bang on perfect, but some cabinet growers are not. When growing in a small area and exhausting into ambient air you are relying on ambient temp and therfore temp swings can occur. All I was asking was, what strains can be grown under less than perfect enviroments.

Temp swings occur in nature also, nothing to worry about there. Any strain will grow in less than perfect environments, that's why I said that. Its a weed man, if you give it water and soil its going to grow. Now if it will produce or die or whatever is a whole different matter. Why are you worried about other growers who don't have their setups dialed in and trying to cater your seed choice/suggestions to them? If you have perfect conditions you can literally grow any strain you want, take your pick of the litter man.

You can grow whatever you desire. I use way less space than you and i run pure sativas, and i have pure indicas. If you like a strain description run with it, just be prepared to veg longer if its an indica or train more if its sativa. Some strains ive enjoyed growing in my PC's are Kali Most, MOD bx, NYCD, OG kush and Jack Herer F6.Good luck with the hunt

You're asking the wrong people the wrong question.

The question is, "what do you like to smoke?" Only you can answer the question and, whatever strain it might be, it's the perfect choice.

You may wish to consider DWC. With no repercussions, I can leave mine for a week with no prep, two weeks with minor prep. I can go for three weeks if I have to but, plants are pissed off when I get back.

Freezer Boy strikes again

most any plant can be grown in a cab if you flower with clone and ZERO veg time, or scrog like mad

Northern Lights, Betazoid, Romulan and Blue Berry these strains seem to do pretty well in a small closed enviorment. Then again if you keep your temperatures right, feed them carefully and provide decent light you really can get yourself some decent bud regardless of the strain. I once grew some Old Mother Sativa in a small cab and produced some decent
bud. Remember OMS is an outdoor strain the grows to great heights, my buds though were good and decent to say the least!

GHS Lemon Skunk.

I had great luck with it and abused her allot. ph swings, temp and light cycle.
Took it all produced well and surprising potency with good yield.
scrogged in cab of torture

I never run DGS Ogr99 in a cab, but this plant is very hardy and I would love to give her a shot in a sog cab.
Have to lollipop them though cause she will stretch just a bit. 12/12 from clone would be perfect.

Peace

Hello,

If I was is your situation I would consider Nirvana's Aurora Indica (fem).

This strain has been very well reviewed and is short, hardy and STRONG MEDICINE.

Best luck!

DTC99 produced the biggest buds in my cab to date by far!!

It is everything you mentioned as well. I know this because I abuse the hell out of this strain. Temps in the mid 90's, plenty of light interruptions, constant light leaks, no watering for a few too many days, etc.... Even after all that it still performed!!

I agree with others that say you can grow anything you want in your cab. I've got 34.5" between my container top and my 400w light and I'm growing SSH plants that were vegged for 1.5 months.

You may wish to consider DWC

.....or some sort of a wicking system. I've been looking into making a DIY Earthbox so that I can spend more time away.
