Day 39 of flower. I'm starting to get pretty excited about these girls. Although I don't know what any of the strains are, one of the bagseed girls is starting to take on a bubblegum smell. Hopefully the molasses will help bring that out.

Man, not much traffic around here lately. It's almost becoming my own grow journal lol.

Today is day 50, and I couldn't resist, I had to have a little taste. Snipped a small bud off one of the indica-looking bagseed plants, dried it slowly in the oven (lowest possible heat setting) and rolled it into a little joint. Tasted not bad, considering it never cured, but it packed quite a punch. It'll probably get a bit better in the next week or so, so I won't get impatient and yank it before it's ready lol

I can't believe how quick I got this lil cabinet dialled in. I already have a couple of known strain seeds vegging away in another box (Blue God from Jordan of the Islands, and Indica Diablo from Mighty Mite. I still have to sex them, but I'm also planning to re-veg a couple of the better performers from all these mystery seed girls. From all that I should easily have enough to fill the cab for the next round.

Anyone have any experience with either of those strains I mentioned?

They look good. But, wow, they are really welded right into those lights. There's no burning?

There's been no burning at all, except for the one time I accidentally allowed one to touch the bulb. I keep them as close as possible, as much as I can and they don't seem to mind at all. It could be because of how much circulation I have going on in there. I have 2 PC fans at low and mid level in the cab, and one other one at the top, blowing on the lights and towards the exhaust vent. They don't seem to mind at all, and the ones that are closest are starting to get pretty fat.

Not even any pre-flowers? Almost sounds like you have a sativa on your hands.

The unknown strains that I'm working with right now took a bit longer to start flowering too, even though I know at least 2 of them are indicas. For a while they were really dark green like yours and I learned that they had nitrogen toxicity. How much are you feeding them? (nutrient strength + frequency of feeding) It's hard to tell in the photo, are they starting to "claw" downwards? That plus a really dark green is a giveaway for too much nitrogen, which happens when overfeeding. Nitrogen toxicity can also delay onset of flowers. I sprayed mine and leached the soil well with straight water and they recovered perfectly. Started showing flowers a couple of days after that too, if I remember correctly.

Good points, Bongdaddy.

I leached them yesterday. The soil must've been hotter than I though because I've been cautious about feeding.

I do think they've had a bit too much nitrogen.

There are no preflowers on these LowRyder2s, and I would recognize them if there were. My temperatures have been pretty cool, its under 70 most days and dips to low 60s at night. I've taken steps to warm it up to see if that helps.

Other than the late flowering I am very happy. I just need them to sex so I can thin the herd in my cab.

All my girls are now harvested and hanging to dry. Actually they've been drying for a few days now. I'll be posting final weights soon.

I already have a few more vegging for the next round. :watchplant:

Well I've harvested, dried and weighed the whole batch, and the results are underwhelming to say the least. Grand total of 22.7 grams. That works out to just under 0.2 gpw. :(

I think I dried the buds a little too much before storing them. But even if I add a couple of grams to my total to compensate for the "lost" weight due to moisture, the results are still pretty low.

But a couple of things make me think I can do better. First, I have to watch the dryness a little more closely next time I'm drying the buds. Sure, that will likely only add a couple of grams, and since I'm only growing for personal use, it's not like I'm losing money by drying it out too much. But I think the smoke will be less harsh if I dry it slower and let it cure better.

Second, this was my first ever grow in this 1 sq. ft. cab, and only my second grow ever. I think things will get better as I learn more about growing and tweaking my grow space.

And lastly, all of the plants were different, unknown strains. Once I learn a little more, I'll start doing full batches of a single strain. That way I'll be able to learn exactly what it needs, and hopefully I won't have as much difficulty dealing with 8 or so plants, all growing at different heights, in that small space.

I'll be sure to continue posting here as my adventures with that cab continue. I'm looking to expand into a 150w hps cab, but until then I'll continue with what I have.
