you're getting there.. patience Daniel son! Foxtailing, some people love it, others hate it.

that is referred to as "fox tailing". it's normal. usually genetic, although through certain environmental factors/extremes it becomes more pronounced. for example, same strain grown in two different rooms by two different growers, one could fox tail, other might not.

i've heard high heat will bring it out more, which i've experienced myself. there are some other reasons/variables that produce the look, being environmental and nutritional.

edit: by the way, i think those flowers look great, i don't mind fox tailing, i wouldn't worry about it. maybe a little less nutes next round, looks like they got a little burned. what are the genetics? diesel?

Those girls are at the end of their life, leaf deterioration is normal. You''ll be fine.

How much longer you estimate there Ruger comin up on 8 weeks here next week and not sure they still look like there a couple more weeks away/

Personally, I let everything go at LEAST 9 weeks. Check your trichs tho, thats the best way to know.

Hey RugeBaby is there a way too tell if you have flushed enough before harvest i have been taking some lower branch trimmings and drying them. They are a lttle harsh and dont taste very good Any tips? I have about a 40% amber trich and rest is a cloudy white i have been flushing with 50% runoff daily for about 10 days. Any suggestions are greatly apptreciated

Note: These lower branchs were not exposed too the light the colas had and are a bit small and not as condense if that makes a difference

If they are mother plants then the clones from them should have been foxtails also. I love to roll my own. And you cant get any better than a foxtail for rolling. Some foxtails just keep on growing. Harvest according to the type of high you desire. Less amber trichs for a high buzz more amber trichs for a stoned buzz. You can get very distinctive highs from the same strain by selective harvesting according to trich color percentage. Could be 8 weeks could be 16. If they are mothers then you should have an idea from her clones.

You guys didnt answer my question but your input is appreciated much.

Country i want too show you end results but i dont think there ready flush wise.

So a indica strain can take up too 16 weeks of flowering too mature?
If this is the case should i resume feeding with nutes or should i continue with straight water considering the trichs are 30%amber 40% cloudy 30% clear ?

so i think most people would tell you 10 days is an adequate amount of time for a flush. There is a really good thread going on about flushing in the nutrients forum. It really depends on the nutrients you have been using also.

flushing thread

The best thing to do for that harsh bud with a bad taste i would say is to make sure you do a good dry and a good cure. Then you will know if you flushed long enough also. Good luck with your harvest.

Ok! Im in a pickle. This Mother Plant is Now 20 weeks Old in a 3 1/2 gallon pot in straight Coco under 400W HPS. She was Over Fertilized a bit im sure. I have been flushing her for 21 days with a runoff PPM of 350 using 50 ppm RO water. Her Trichs are a mix atm but dont look as cloudy as assumed. Some are amber not many.

So my question is?
Is she Still premature?

Is there any hope for a good harvest by being more patient and keep flushing due too her leaves are still as green as above pics.

Or do i just chop her down and learn from this with next batch?

A professional opinion is much appreciated with any tips Im still a bit new too this.

Ive taken some factors in account from the clones that are now 16 weeks old 8 in flowering and using a 70% 30% perlite mix and Much lower fert feeding. There trichs are 60% cloudy. So these are looking alot better maturity wise.

leaf tips are burnt with over feeding for a start so give a really good flush for at least 2 wks
only way to see if she ready is by checking the trichs colour
foxtailing isn't a problem, personally i think it's genetic

wow my first post in ages, busy, busy, busy

Why wouldn't you flush until run-off is much closer to input PPMs? By not getting all the nutrients out, you are just dragging out your flushing.

Flush until PPM is within 100 PPM of input water. I'd use tap water for this as it's practically free. Allow to drain for an hour. Then water with 100% run off with pH adjusted water.

This should get most of the nutrients out of your coco so the plant can start using up what's in it's leaves.

I didnt use a perlite mix with this mother plant which i wish i did but the flushing has become a process because the flow thru is restricted due too the coco compacting and the root ball in this pot has got too be thick after 20 weeks, it takes bout 10 min for 2liters too flo thru. I assume the 350 ppm runoff after flushing with 50 ppm water is a build up of nutes in med. I have a high ppm tap water is that ok too use in flushing or just stick with the RO
