What's new

plastic/cosmetic surgery

well I thought it would be a good subject to debate, and hear opinions on, I searched and there are no threads on this

today at work I mentionned this hot older woman to my coworker

and he said, yeah, she looks good,
she had a lot of cosmetic surgery done thought

that made a lot of sense

so i'm just wondering what you people think of cosmetic surgery, and anything that goes with it

the pros the cons

of course, there are risks as it's surgery
googling cosmetic surgery disasters can bring out some bad stuff im sure

haha, I am not asking because I would like to have some done :)

I think it's great that it exists, because some people who had their face ripped off in an accident have a chance to (maybe) have it reconstructed (I know these people get stared at sometimes, and it can make them feel self-conscious/affect their self-esteem), so good comes out of it

and for people who just want to look better
I really have no problem with it, people can do what they want as long as they don't hurt me

a girl I went to school with, who was only 19 at the time

had her breasts and nose redone, when I learned that, I had mixed feelings

I felt like it's a lie in a way, it's like you don't get the real person
but it was just my first reaction

I am fine with it, I wouldn't think any less of someone for having some work done on them

but another aspect of it
is the importance of appearance

Vane people use surgery to clean up the outside. Its whats on the inside that counts and judging by the amount they spend, they must be pretty fucked up on the inside.
No reason for corrective surgery after an accident or birth defect to be put in this category though.

It makes me laugh at some of your male yanky politicians who dye their hair, fuck that looks stupid and so obvious, powerfull men running from grey hair in terror.

anyone very willing to alter given body parts (aside from exercising) through elective surgeries could be either shallow or have self worth issues, idk. why look at yourself that way plus what is that woman thinking of your body all the while, what would she change in you? will you ever be good enough?

I dated a sweet gal back in '80 that worked for a plastic surgeon and had her non-existent breasts made into a perfect B cup, flat as a board one day and perfection for her body size the next, that was fine w/me.

if it was to cover/fix a deformity then all the power to her/him.

just saying.......

Does vaginal rejuvination count? If so I approve. I think a lot of people with inferior genes are diluting the pool by beating evolution - instead of marrying someone equally flawed or ugly, they are allowed to get their genes into the circles of truly good looking people and reproduce, causing inferior offspring and a perversion of sexual selection and evolution.

I believe people should be allowed todo whatever to their bodies they want, as long as it doesn't harm another person. Personally, no jobs for me , no piercings, no tatoos. My body is my temple.

I think most cosmetic surgeries dont look better on other people. Though, some do. If it was my wife (I think she considers it sometimes), I would disapprove. I love her just the way she is.

Couple down the street had a deal, when the third baby stopped nursing, the wife would have a boob job. After a completely successful surgery, where everyone did everything right, the woman died. Her husband's a widower and her children orphans because of a successful surgery she didn't need.

Anytime they put you under, there's a chance you wont come back.

The small print on the fun-bags is they have to be removed eventually.
