what PH metre to buy

I'm on my third crop indoor organic and need to get a good reliable digital PH meter. Which one has the best value. Should I shell out the bucks for one coulpled w/ a nute metre? BTW I'm doing Blackjack, Bubblicsous, Supper lemon haze, and Blueberry Skunk in day 32 of 12/12
We can only respond about once a week as we live in the deep north woods beyond the internet.

TIA

How are you growing? Organic, yes, but using a nutrient line? I ask because you could be facing a gauntlet line here on meters. You should check out the sticky on organic ph for a heads up.

If for whatever reason your still needing a meter, after reading the sticky, I have found the duel Hanna meter to be a decent one, it handles both ph and ppm. Maybe more helpful to me is the compost wizard ph meter. It has a 12 inch probe for soil plus it is a decent soil moisture meter, I think it was around $70.,....Scrappy

@ the OP.........I truly haven't had to use my Hanna tri-meter since I hung up the hydro gear and went organic. I do use it when making fermented plant extracts, but don't worry too much about "pH'ing" my water, which is 7.4 pH well water.

If your water is way alkaline, it may be useful but otherwise I'd save your dough for other things.

BTW @ scrappy4........What kind of critter is that on your avatar? Looks kinda like a Wolverine.

My cheap ass Milwaukee has been going strong for a few years.

I pH everytime, peeps will say it is not necessary but I have seen ill effects when I knowing gave my plants incorrect pH'd water.`

I pH everytime, it only takes a min so no big deal. I grow TLO, no bottles.

if you want to use a pH meter. I like bluelab.

they just came out with new ones, there white. check out there website for more info

I am for both sides, I've done both and came to the conclusion, I think it important to find a media / water / nutrient that gives you a level you like so you never feel like you need to pH or check. or play around with things till you find a groove you like

i have both the black hanna PH/EC and the oakley green PH....and the oakley has been working way better for me....the black hanna is very confusing to calibrate and reads 7.3 in my 7.0 reference solution no matter how many times i try to calibrate...the oakley is super simply just place in the 7.0 solution, press calibrate...boom done.

After fighting my Hanna for far too long, I bought a BlueLab. Should have done it long ago - it's fast, accurate, repeatable, and holds calibration. Best price I found was on Ebay.

Hmmm pH meter? I think I wasted money on one of those once. Haven't worried about pH in so long now, I probably couldn't find the one I bought if I tried.

I look at the peoples pics who "laugh" at the thought of a ph meter...And it just reminds me of my first 2 indoor grows. Thats really all I can say.

Their pants arent nearly impressive, Airy low yields. But its organic so it dont matter...lmao
