shipping seeds to a po box?

I have been wanting to try some new genetics for awhile now, been growing out the same 4 strains for the past 5 years and need to switch it up.

Since I stick to rule #1, tell no one, t I don't really have a safe addy to send seeds to...

In the past I have used a PO box that is in a state different than where my grow is located, and always ordered around the holidays (november to december) when the mail system is swamped and seed packages stand a better chance of getting through.

I still have that PO box...It is no where near the holidays, and I need a new strain now, but also have shit going on at the moment and am not sure I want to introduce another risk factor into the equation.

Thoughts and suggestions ? Safe, not safe??? Id also only be ordering 1 pack of seeds, not 20.

I wouldnt worry about it . Letters prob get the least amount of attention at mail facilities .

I have seen posts about setting up a PO box at the 'low end' side of town
supposedly there are places that will take your mail delivery, but aren't too careful bout your ID information
haven't found one those yet, but might be some places like that

I think you are a little too paranoid about ordering seeds. Ups store will work just fine.

in the USA, all parts of the plant are illegal, and that includes seeds
now as mentioned previously, the risks for a small seed order seem small
but there are a few threads/posts of some growers saying that they got a knock and talk from a seed order being intercepted
which is why a few of us feel more comfortable with high security

i fully understand...now....im a ignorant bastard, i had a order of nevilles haze snatched from me at a po when i was paranoid ....you know what come to think about it, i think that order was from heavens stairway back when they were useing those damn metal washers to mantain structeral integrity of the pkg ....no wonder.

i think the risk is going down as time goes on
seeds look to be a lesser priority, there's so much actual drugs being shipped
states in the midwest, multiple intercepted seed orders, those things seem to raise a seed order risk some

Ive resisted ordering seeds by mail for years. I always brought back my seeds from the 'dam as I was going there at least a couple times a year. I havent made it back for three years and have been making my own seeds. After all this time of putting it off, the other night I just up and ordered some seeds . Had them sent to my regular mailing address and had them in less than a week. No problems. I wont hesitate next time around.

o your in the mid? i use to live in scottsbluff nb , and a little bit in kc ms, now i'm in the promised land so i don't really have to worry about that.....my mistake, im in the ak and they still snatch from us sometimes cuz they can(u know the mail service is all fed) but it's more of a "fuck u" type of thing nothing really serious.

nope, in NY, kind of in between, could be be better, could be worse
just what i've gathered from too much reading about seed order experiences
ak is the promised land from what i see, better than cali because you don't need no stinking scripts

this guy in ny doesn't, only what i grow for myself
in the upper part of the state, and and in upstate ny jan-feb can be anything, arctic one year, mild the next

I ordered seeds in December from a place in Canada. They were sent to my home address with my name on them. They came in a very unremarkable small package with a very bland return address. Nothing fancy at all. No reason to look twice at it, one of those little brown padded envelopes with a little extra bubble wrap. They got to me in a week.

I won't hesitate to order from there again when the time comes. I didn't like it that some of the places in Europe used weird return addies. One of the real big ones sends packages with a return address that says it's from "Hocus Pocus," which I think my nosy ass rural mail carrier would wonder about.

Anyway I wouldn't worry about it at all if you order from a place that isn't stupid.

Send to tour po box if you want use your name just slightly misspelled. Can't prove its for you I get junk mail misspelled all the time.
