NJ State Police stakeout hydro-shop, bust grower

Shitty situation.

It should be well known by anyone that grows in an unfriendly state that this is a very common tactic. He shouldn't have gone straight home, and not in his car.

All this is obvious. His girl let them in without a warrant which they lacked evidence for. Bam, prison.

Some fucked up shit, but yeah make sure no one follows you home from grow store, or buy supplies online.

Never let popo enter without warrant! At least if you tell em to fuck off nicely you have time to remove plants.

If you have a girl, make sure to brief her TO NEVER LET COPS INTO THE RESIDENCE IF THERE IS A GROW TAKING PLACE!

6 years for 31 plants? and a first offender? Fucking ridiculous....

A girl must be pretty fucking stupid to consent to a search when she knows that there is an illegal grow operation inside that they will undoubtedly find. Or maybe she just sold him out.

He had a great link though, I wish there was a centralized spot to post police reports like this on the site.

yeah i clicked and read it before i realized it was weird he had 1 post in 7 years. The grower consented to searches though. Just pathetic how those pigs watched hm and followed him from the grow store to his home, and other places.

Kinda cool looking!! Where by chance did you find this report? Just interested because this is the type of reports we all need to be digging up and posting in the security forum. These police reports i believe are public info and should be out there for every bust. Not sure if available online though. Either way, very interesting read!

i found it several years ago by looking for federal marijuana charges, there are lots of them out there but its hard to find the PDFs of the indictments and complaints. it appears that this guy also appealed and got denied. so 60months in prison is what he's serving now.

here's a link to that appeal: www.ca8.uscourts.gov/opndir/11/03/101746U.pdf

also for every federal district in the US there should be a corresponding page like this one: http://www.justice.gov/usao/mow/pr/index.html
they list all the news briefs of arrests and indictments
you can go there, enter a search term like 'marijuana plants' and sort the results by date to see whats new. there would probably be more activity in a place like california.
or you could search the entire country: http://www.justice.gov/
lots of interesting stuff, but enough BS to make you sick.

I'm not sure if this method works everywhere but it works for me. Rather than go to a hydro store in person to buy goods i order online. Sometimes i'll go into a store if i want to see something in person but i'll walk out empty handed and order the item online later. Key points:

1) I get the goods sent to a mail depot, not my actual address. There is no easy way for the cops to stakeout a mail depot.

2) I don't use a real name for the order eg Big Jimbo or some shit. That avoids needing to show an ID at pickup. Where i am a tracking number is all that is required to get the goods.

3) For the payment i make a cash deposit directly into the vendors bank account. I don't put my name on the deposit, just the transaction number given to me from the store. Completely anonymous.

I actually enjoy going to my hydro store..the guys that work there are cool as fuck, very helpful, and have never, ever sold me something that was B.S.

Now, after finding this report about the NJ cops staking out a PA hydro store, i am thinking I need to chill out on those hydro store visits every other month.

Most stuff I can order online, but what about soil? I use Roots Organics, and Im not about to start mixing up my own, I simply don't have time for that. Where can i order soil online without paying tons of shipping costs?

I guess I could also just rent a car to go the hydro shop. Cops would probably need a warrant to get car rental info.

Also wondering if a hydro shop is getting staked out by the po-po when the most likely time they would be watching it is. Right after they open, later in the afternoon??

i go to low key places. the shop i go to is easy to miss if you dont know where it is.its more of a nursery than a typical hydro store.. when i lived in mass they would watch the local worms way so i would borrow a ride and walk right in like i owned the place. and unlike others i parked out front not in the back. .

so when is walmart gonna start carrying fox farm?

they can't follow everyone home from a megamart right?

Garden centers, small local good ones, will carry what you need, at least this time of year. /winter soil buying is sketchy, however.
