Have you guys ever came across a grow before?

Just curious if any of you have walked upon a grow before.

I've always though it would be cool to find (and leave it alone though) one of those big 1,000+ plant grows but they're usually cartel grows and guarded I would imagine.

I know out here in Cali in some of the forest land along creeks and shit you would run into something eventually.

I've found many ex grow spots (bags in ground, chicken wire, etc) while I've been out scouting new spots. Clean the fuck up people! If you're too lazy to hump out the trash then at least bury it, the shovel is right there.

I've never come across an active grow. I take precautions to avoid ever finding myself in that situation.

I found a spot early this spring that looked like someone was growing there (cleared trees, mounds of upturned dirt, 55 gal drum, lots of brown tubing, camo netting). Haven't been back, though I intend to soon.

i used to do alot of hiking with gps in remote areas. i found enough grows to make me not wanna do it anymore, as i dont carry a gun while hiking and dont wanna get shot at without being able to shoot back.when i was back east i would hike in hunting areas with a gun and wasnt concerned as if i got shot at i would kill them and take their stuff LOL. out here no guns on most areas allowed but the mexicans dont care one bit and would surely kill your ass and sneak back across the boarder

Mmm.. as a highschooler once my buddies found one. Wasn't hard, it was a backyard grow (technically) on a orchard property, sticking clear over the guy's fence. It was in the cuts though so maybe he just felt safe.

Back then not everyone was a grower or knew one, and so it was an even larger deal (I'd imagine) than it is for high school kids now to find or hear about a grow. My parents however were smokers, and they would always try to grow their own in the backyard, usually with a pretty shitty end product LOL. Long story short, my so-called buddies stole that guys plants one night, and knew I wouldn't agree with what they'd done, so they kept it from me. After I found out, I just cut ties, I was young, but still knew how important my parents shitty were plants to them, that this guys 9+ footers being robbed must have truly gutted him.

Crazy thinking back about this now... that's a moment I'm proud of though. Especially now that I too grow, in my backyard, and put tons of passion and appreciation into it. Couldn't think less of thieves, I really couldn't.

Found a few back in the day. Admired the scenery and moved on, as it was probably someone I knew. I don't want people ripping my shit, can't see doing it to someone else.

Shit... you can take a stroll through a city neighborhood, somewhere round 3am, and 'stumble' across a grow or two... many make it pretty easy.

yes while bush camping in a state park I stumbled into a plot of about fifty girls early in flower, I slowly backed the fuck out and never went back...

a buddy found one about 20 feet in from a golf course, we all got together and jacked it, it was a stupid thing to do, lol i still feel that karma or something as a result of what we did was why i killed so many plants early on and just plain failed horribly in all aspects of growing

no

looking for and stumbling upon is two different things too :), I have done neither

I would also stay away if I did find any

could be very dangerous

what kind of proof does the guy growing 1000s have that you won't be coming back to rip or telling someone
none really, unless he takes your id, or id info, adress etc

might as well feed you to the bears, plus bear traps and whatever, you never know

better safe then sorry

Ive watche 2 grows for over 10 years.

I have a 1st cousin that owns a little piper cub type plane, and starting in about 2 weeks, he will begin flying the area looking for pot patches. About 15 years ago, his patch was cut. He spent a couple of years getting his pilots license and then leased a smalll plane. 2 years later he had found enough patches to pay for his own little plane. He's quit growing himself, and now just steals other peoples patches.

I strongly disapprove of his activity and he knows it. He believes that if everyone is engaged in illegial activity then there is no honor among thieves. I disagree: Im a pot farmer, not a thief.

On a side note, when he first got his pilots license and leased a small plane i went for a 2hr ride with him. A single cannabis plant can be picked out of the landscape from 2 miles away. Any suggestion that pot plants can be hidden from the air is foolishness.
