Something better than a bic lighter?

I use either hempwick for combustion or my vaporbrothers with 14mm adapter and use my water pipes for tasty bong shots.

Haps: "Scripto electronic, been using them for years, no wheel to make a dent in my thumb."
Yeah, Haps; A lot of lighters hurt my thumb too; I have to take the child locks off Bic's before use.
But, these lighters: with the clear, colored plastic, are the worst! The wheel always locks up and is sharp, hurting my poor, sensitive thumb!

LoL, can't believe I went through the process of uploading that pic, just so I could share my hatred for these lighters...

Well, I am pretty religious about using Bics, (if I'm using a lighter); but I'd swear, and I meant to mention this in my last post, but I swear Bics don't last as long as they once did...

Has anybody else happened to notice this?? :chin: *rubs chin suspiciously*
I have a box full of beat lighters in the basement; saved them hoping maybe they could be recycled. :shucks:

...And the 12" flame, on the cheapo lighters, makes me think it's gonna blow up! :smoky: :whee:
Yeah, I really despise those cheapo lighters!

Lol, who knew passions ran so deep for lighters... :dunno: :yappy:

If those lighters hurt your thumb I'm gonna suggest you get Mr. nattynatty to do all the trimming for ya :)

Me, i just use a good windproof lighter and ultra refined butane, all these glass rods and ceramic irons are great but I honestly cant taste the difference between them and a good lighter with clean butane??

Just find any refillable lighter from walmart or gas station and get a can of some good butane. I bought some cheap plastic sliding type of lighter for like 3 bucks and a can of vector butane 5 bucks. Have had both for over a year and even after refilling once a week, still got half a can of butane. 8 bucks total for about 2 years of use. Versus buying loads of bics...

Also, the vector butane tastes night and day better than bics.

I'm trying to find a glass heat wand in my area, pretty hard apparently. The best shop around just moved and they don't have anything set up. I'm gonna send away for a free Ital wick sample.

If they made a wireless herb iron that had a switch instead of a button you had to hold down, I think I'd pay $75 for that

butane torch
for the professional puffer.....

NICE! I've been tempted to get a torch sooo many times, but haven't. I know if popo sees a torch, they're gonna tear the place apart looking for batu/shabu.

Vaporizors are okay...but I end up going back to smoking after awhile. Hemp wicks are a pain. Refillable butane lighters are the best bet for the $$, like master shake said.

So if I held my lighter underneath a glass like I just did, at first you see vapor of h20, but then it a few seconds dark matter accumulates.

Nattynattygurl I am not against you, but I did one lighter and got very small portions of black but with the BIC I got just tons of stuff built up.

Glass doesn't just burn and be black. The first lighter I actually held for maybe a few seconds, and the BIC also. The BIC left a huge deposit of stinky black stuff.

I have nothing to prove except for now I am waiting for the gallery to be up, so I can ruin a bunch of people's egos because they believe since they cannot taste or detect or think they know physics or the law.

Sorry I am a scientist, I figured it out myself within seconds and if you think I am full of it...do it yourself. You'll see dark deposits!

I used a cheap clear lighting and it did not leave a VERY noticeable spot like the BIC. I care, please stop using them.

Oh, please know, Devilgoob, I take no offense; I did not mean to come across as though I was advocating 'Bic's' use...I was just saying that's what I currently use, if using a lighter, shamefully, even though I realize that they are not 'clean burning'...
Embarrassingly, I use Bic's mostly out of habit and convenience. :shucks: I've made the switch to wicks a few years back, but have been leery since my re-ignition experience.

And please, never apologize for being a scientist, especially here!! Even if I'm not smart enough to always heed it's findings, I respect the scientific method!! What else are we going to look to? The alternative is quite grim, as American's know!

Anyways, there are a few cans of 'vector' laying around; I really should just get a refillable lighter instead!
Thanks to this thread, I'll be more conscientious about it, the next time I'm 'out and about' and see one. :good:
:thank you:
