Pure Blend Pro for soil?

running pbp soil, liquid karma, calmag, as well as pro tekt silica, loving it. plants are growing fast, no deficiencies, no burn, no trouble. sure, i could probably run a cheaper nute regimen w the same results, i love fish hydrolysates and kelp hydrolysates, but this botanicare is fun, smells good, and is pH stable it seems.

one question-

the bottles of botanicare recommend using with every watering.
i have been using the nutes every watering w no burn or deficiencies. but i am worried, because never are you supposed to fertilize every watering in soil i thought.

is everyone else using botanicare w every watering?

PBP grow, bloom, LK for 2 runs indoor and 1 outdoor and the results were awesome, dank buds everytime, easy to mix up and plants seemed to love it.

growing in a mix of well made compost, earth worm casting and perlite as your base mix will probably yield better results that peat or coco based mixes. organic growing depends on humus and microbial content. dolomite and pHd bottle nutes are only needed when the medium doesnt support the microbes which control the pH around the plants roots.

I have done this many times. Right now I feed 4x per week I dont water everyday though. its more like every 2 days. PBP can burn if you mix it to hot I CHECK MY ppm I'm running it at 1300ppm when I get up to 1500 I can see slight burning. Some strains can take allot so it can be strain dependent as well.

thank you hammerhead, i will continue to feed every water, but won't try to push it. no burn, no deficiencies, RO water, pbp grow, calmag, liquid karma and pro tekt silica every watering.

liquid karma has one ingredient: kelp. why is it so damn expensive?

i'd really like to just use an alternative liquid kelp hydrolysate, and probably will after LK runs out unless someone can convince me otherwise.
why isn't anyone switching out LK for a cheaper source of kelp hydrolysate?

No one cares about the EDTA? Ive been using pure blend for over ten years. Not happy about that. So they are adding EDTA to the cal-mag now and taking away humic acids from Liquid Karma. Boy are these guys starting to go for the bottom line. I love the company but not as much as ten years ago. I think some one from Advanced just joined the corporate ranks I'm looking for a new Cal-Mag source. I don't like harsh buds.

Thanks Rev

GH released a CaMg for their General Organics line. I have been using it for a few runs now and it seems to be working well for me. Also it doesnt contain any N which is cool for bloom.

"CaMg+ helps optimize plant nutrition resulting in enhanced growth and healthier flowers and fruits. CaMg+ is a blend of fermented calcium and magnesium complexed with organic acids and sugar chelates. These low molecular weight acids may facilitate calcium and Magnesium transport into the plant. General Organics provides gardeners with a complete line of superior organic plant foods and supplements that combine the time-tested materials of traditional gardening with the ecological and efficient methods of the future. Each product in the "GO" line enables you to enrich your garden, your life, and the planet. General Organics foundation rests upon a deep commitment to provide simple, sustainable and innovative products with unsurpassed quality."

RE: EDTA. I read up on some studies (unviersity studies) that show that EDTA (which is a universal chelating agent that makes ions more available for uptake/reaction) does not easily enter the plant via roots.
That being said... i still dont use it once buds are really forming. It stops at week 3, at the very latest. Then i use that calplex for bubba, which eats up Ca like a mofo.
IMO, use the hell out of calmag with EDTA in veg, don't worry. If anything, it will help you add less to the soil because uptake of micro nutes will be more efficient.

i think i'll be picking up a bottle of General Organics CaMg once my bottle of botanicare runs out, which will be after one more feeding.

pbp needs a bloom booster. i add earthjuice bloom and meta k for best results

Not sure if this is a reply to my question or just a statement lol either way another question ensues .... I'm using pbp with bloombastic at 1 ml per gallon right not may move it up depending on how they look.
My other question is should I add pbp & bloombastic then ph or add pbp, ph then add bloombastic?

Add your nutes than PH always. I as well add Earth Juice bloom into my PBP soil bloom formula, works great! Another thing I just experimented with was "house and Gardens" BIO1 component, wanna talk about some added girth?? HOLY SHIT, look at my last CJ nuggets, I ended up with a 34gram dried nugget, with record harvest's from just 2 plants!! :woohoo: :yay: Any other questions I and other's here on IC mag will gladly answer. peace and love ,Stagger

Pure Blend Pro for soil grew the big jumbo healthy Sweet Toof salad toppers.

If you want to easily raise your PH up after adding PBP to your RO water just get some liquid silica supplement I use the one from Dynagro, it's potassium silicate and it raises the PH right up does not take much at all to do so per gallon and plants love the silica it makes them big & strong helps them resist stress and fungus attacks & more. It also may have an inhibitory effect on some bad critters in the soil some people use it in their anti-mite sprays along with the natural lavender castille soap from Dr. Bronner mixed with neem oil and it helps to emulsify the oils better in the solution for proper mixing. PBP rules! I do not use the cal/mag don't need it in my mix and if I do I use epsom salts for Mg. But the Botanicare Liquid Karma is a MUST it's spectacular stuff and get's mixed with the PBP Bloom and anything else I give my ladies like Maxicrop liquid seaweed for instance which is like liquid gold in a bottle for your plants in veg. :canabis:

yes! actually,lol..ok sorry so just to be clear, add pbp and bloombastic, and then ph it right? i only ask because im not sure if bloombastic is considered an additive and on my last nutes(H&G) it says to mix base nutes (usually a&b,just pbp in this case) ph after mixing base and then mix in additives but do NOT ph again after as there is some type of buffer in the additives.help me understand lol

and also to sotf i have a bottle of dutch master gold range silica, could this be used as ph up?

thanks guys for the info and takin the time to help
