HELP! please? Tiny bugs in my DWC bucket.

they look like and are about the same size as a cloudy trichome with little legs sticking out and wiggling. clustered on the inside of the bucket above the waterline. too small to get a pic with my camera.

Any body got experience getting rid of this?

sounds like its fungus gnat larvae. nothing to really panic about. never dealt with them in DWC so i have no input for ya on killing them. mosquito dunks or bacillus whateverthefuckusitscalled should work

peroxide used in the right concentration should also be able to smoke em

those are not gnats those are definitely root aphids. i dont know if you can get rid of them in DWC. i tried for months and could not. you need to check out the thread called "fungas gnats or winged root aphids." lots of info in there about them. good luck

I've been transitioning over to coco for the last month or so and almost all my vegging plants are in it. I'm going to treat everything in veg with imidacloprid. I cut the plant in the bucket with the bad breakout at 52 days it was close to ready and same strain that is vegging shows some crawlers on the surface after watering. I've been spraying my vegging plants with azatrol every couple of weeks because there appear to be a small # of fungus gnats in the veg tents. nothing too crazy, I just see a few fly to the lights when I'm watering or moving things around.

I sprinkled a bit of crushed mosquito dunks on the surface of my coco a few weeks back
and I'm going to add another sprinkle to all.

I'm not seeing any signs in the other buckets yet....perhaps some strains are more susceptible than others?

I'm hoping that a dose of the imidacloprid in early veg will get things in line over time.
