AK 48 ...

I dont really know if this is the correct place to post this but here goes ...

I grew out just 1 AK-48 from Nirvana and its been curing now for about 2 weeks ...
I only ended up vegging her for about a week and then she went right into 12/12. She ended up taking the longest in the room and i took her down at 10 weeks and change. Well my dilema is that the buds are all just so airy looking. The buds are very light and fluffy. The exact opposite of what i like. I have not tried any yet so i cant comment on that. I'm acctually kinda nervous to smoke some cause i kinda know that it aint gonna be to good, "by the looks of it". Im not in any hurry to try it, "put it that way".

Anyway, i have been looking around and i cant seem to find any close up pics of this plant or some buds from AK-48 by other growers so i can see if theu also got fluffy buds.

The description said that AK-48 has rock hard buds...


Im just kinda nervous also because i've got a couple more Ak's going from the same order of seeds. They been vegging for over 2 months now. I'm hoping that might help...

Some phenos had airy buds some had rock hard buds. With nirvana your gonna have several phenos, All in all they were just ok. Gorgeous plants with a decent yield , high was 7/10

Agreed with above I ran it as well. Got some air buds and some rock hard dense buds. Kept a mother of each. In fact a few weeks I should be putting a nice batch into flower!

it was from seed...
At the time i allready had like 6 other girls in there that had been vegging for about a month...

ie2ks kush- u say that u kept a mom of each pheno. I guess it was some decent smoke then.

The lemony forever-to-finish pheno usually had fluffy buds. I've had a couple other phenos with pretty solid buds though, including the cherry.

WOW, I'd sure like to get my hands on that cherry pheno ...

How was the smoke ...?...on the cherry and the harder budded pheno's ......

Bro, I'm sorry. I think you fucked up somewhere.

Plants not gonna finish in 11 weeks from seed. You're lucky if an autoflower finishes by that time.

You need to let your plant sexually mature. If you want to start 12/12 after 1 week (which I do not recommend doing, by the way) then you need to start counting flower time when you actually SEE flower clusters.

Sorry if I misunderstood and you did this. Otherwise, if you didn't wait until flowers show to count, then you harvested probably 4 weeks early.

AK-48 was one of my favorites. It grew in a tiny box with a 600 watt light hot as a mother and still had nice full buds.

Agreed with above the airy ones I had had a light citrusy flavor sweet side. My hard nuggy one was skunky but sweet too and the sweet came through more than the skunky if that makes sense. Really smooth smoke probably could have gone 2 or more weeks took it at about 10. Can't wait to run off a bunch of clones and let them get a little farther along. The other one I could care less for but I have the space for it so its better than nothing. Probably end up as concentrations and edbiles hopefully.

Whole side note, last round I had a ppp from Nirvana as well, and I could of swore I got a distinct chocolate aroma and sweet mild chocolate flavor. Now running a few more and got another one same thing anyone else get this on Nirvana ppp? Kinda bullshit asking here sorry but just in case. I'll go look for a ppp thread now lol.

Yeah I really love the cherry. More of a cherry ludens than a fruity cherry, great pleasantly mixed high. I've had a spicy rocketship trip kind in my original grow with ak as well. these were from 02ish? i think. ive seen many recent runs of newer seedstock, and they seem to be dominated by the sweet skunky one IE talked about. it goes purple at the drop of a hat Outdoors. SUPER dense nugs, good candied tasting.

I crossed those cherryAKs with bubblegum and NL long ago, makes for some great fruity smoke.

That was the only time i have ever vegged a plant for only 1 week and then went right into 12/12...
I always veg for at least 4 weeks...

This round i vegged a couple for 8-9 weeks...
along with a few plushberrys and a diesel...
They are all in the 2nd week of 12/12...

The couple AK's that i got in flower right now look so much better then last time...Way more bushier...

I see what u mean about flowering not have started until u see flowers ur self, not when u switch the light to 12/12...

Like i said though, this round i vegged them for 9 weeks and i had pre flowers at the 5th week...

I also tried 1 ak in a waterfarm hydro bucket from hydro farm...
This is my 1st attempt at any kind of hydro...

Although i do use strictly sunshine mix #4 for all my girls and i have heard people say that that is basiccally hydro drain to waste...Because its a soilless mix...
but i always ph at 6-6.5...

i do remember just recently looking at a thread were someone grew 3 ppp's from nirvana and he was very happy with 1 of them...
I saw soom pics and they looked great...

Is it true that most of nirvana's seeds are F1's...
Therefor thats why there would be alot more variation...

I think you will be satisfied if you give it enough time to finish this run.
I would give these at least 60 to 70 days.

Buds look really different when theyre done
The hairs recede, the buds swell, and they don't look as shiny green anymore.

lol... yeah, i allready know this too ...

I always allow my buds to finish unless something was to happen ...

I said that i'm hoping because i only vegged my old AK for a week that this round she will be much better with the longer veg time she got ...

and i did flower the AK for 10 weeks (which is 70 days right) ...
